Re: New Stadium

There is no need to lie Kinky John just because you are on another clubs forum. Frenchay is in Bristol, and it is far closer to the City centre than where your sespit was planned to be built. Also at least our stadium will be in a metropolitan area, You know where there is actual civilisation, it is 5 minutes walk away from BRISTOL Parkway, where there is actualy people around, and has great transport links, Unlike where your stadium was going to be built which is surrounded by Cows, Pigs and Sheep in the middle of farmyards and other general compost like squalor. You stinkweeds are not called The sh*theads for nothing pal!!!!

SuperNickyWroe, you of all people cannot bang on about attendances when you are probably the worst in the whole football league, and only take a paltry 6k to Old Trafford. You may as well have played that match at the f*cking Mem instead of putting all your supporters in 1 mini bus and driving all the way to Manchester.

Remember we took 45k in the equivilent game in 2007, which is a record for play off final in the bottom 2 tiers, Even Shrewsbury managed to take double what you did.

Dont worry about us ,Me Ol' Mucker, I am sure the stadium will be full most weeks, Until we play the likes of Torquay in the 1st round of the League Cup.

I love the banter!!!!
THAR SHE BLOWS!

Frenchay closer to the City Centre than Ashton Vale???....Frenchay isnt even in the same COUNTY as Bristol City Centre

I like the way you have also mentioned Bristol Parkway. Isnt the term 'Parkway' traditionally used for railway stations that arent actually in the City/Town for which they serve? (I could be wrong, dont think I am).

I knew if I prodded the surface of the water with the 'one team in Bristol stick' you would appear...and you didnt let me down :rules: good man!

Now then, tell me BritishGas...all this about TUFC taking 6k hundreds of miles to Old Trafford (think it was 7k actually), do you not think its a bit rich when your boys dont even take 6k to your own ground?

As for Irene...utter dirge, a song with strong suicidal overtones and stolen from Plymouth Argyle (not the only thing youve stolen from Devon is it? )
Im just glad ours is Drink Up Thy Zider, miles better.

cheers

I wouldnt have a problem taking my cat for a walk around 'Frenchay Village Green' mate, the only difficulty is that it is a hell of a long way out of Bristol

They did, they applied for planning permission and agreed a deal with Sainsbury's and sold it 2 years ago. They had difficulties because where they were planning to build was a nature reserve and classed as a Village green.

The difference is, like I said in previous posts is that The sh*t are relying on Bristol CC and they are the most inept bunch of tossers imaginable. Hence why we have decided to go with South Glos CC in a venture with UWE.

That is the only downside, although still in Bristol, it is in South Gloucestershire.
I apologise for this Gulls fans, for the sake of accuracy I just want to reply to the above post made by BG. I know this is your Main Board and I promise not to post any further non TUFC items on here. For those of you who have absolutely no intrest in Bristol football (all of you I would imagine) please ignore this post

FAO BritishGas...Firstly, you know full well the land in Ashton Vale is not and never has been a nature reserve, in fact the plans for the new stadium include actually creating a nature reserve for the first time on that particular piece of land. Secondly the land has never been classed as a Village Green, some local residents have applied for this status (so far not approved) so they can derail the new stadium plans. The land in question has always been used for either grazing purposes or as a waste dump

The Ashton Vale site is within the city boundry's, your new stadium is not in Bristol, however, this is in your favour. As you rightly point out BCC are utterly useless where as South Gloucestershire Council seem to be a bit more forward thinking.

As a football fan I say congratulations to you regarding this news and fair play to your board. I believe you will have a new ground years before we do. Obviously though I still hate you and hope you get relegated to the BSP.
:@

Once again I apologise to Gulls fans for posting this on here.

I will leave you in the knowledge that Bristol C*ty are this "massive" club, who play in the best stadium, who play the best football since Brazil 1970, and have the best supporters in the world.

I am not going to shoot you down, because Simonb is a right c*nt and is making Gasheads look like a bunch of fools, I can honestly tell you that we are decent enough and I wouldn't let some adolescent tw*t, fool you into thinking we are all like that.

Rovers fans are very fickle,It is quite strange that our average att was bigger with the worst side in our history. The last time we were in League 2 struggling for our lives at the bottom of it we reguarly got 10k plus crowds against the mighty forces of Darlington, Kidderminster, and Boston, Even against yourselves I think the crowd was 12k, If Buckle can get us playing exciting, attacking, pleasing on the eye, winning football then I do think that crowds will be between 7.5k-9k, If on the other hand it is as dull, uninspiring and quite frankly sh*t like the last 5 years then crowds will be arond the same 6.5k.

Paul Buckle thinks we are "Massive" and I think Simonb heard that and has just come on here to wind you up, and from the looks of things he has conquered what he set out to do. Your lot biting back at him just fuels him up to come back with his drivel. Just ignore him and I am sure he will vanish and leave you in peace.

And John Fowler is just as bad, I mean why is a sh*thead on here? Buckle's departure was likely to have some Gasheads on here, but what has it got to do with a South Bristol scummer? he is just as bad as Simonb.

I dont mind a bit of banter, but when it comes to 2 pre-pubecent c*ty and Rovers fans chatting sh*t it is embarrasing to both Bristol clubs.

Anyway I hope you do well next season, I have always had a soft spot for Torquay and us Gasheads share your dislike in Exeter and plymuff. I hope our away fixture at Plainmoor is either in the sunshine of Aug/Sep or the closing stages in April/May, possibly a promotion party for both of us.

Also any news on Milton? There are rumours he may come and join Buckle? He is certainly well thought of and from what I hear has brought a lot of decent players to your club.

Anyway like I said, Good luck for next season.
Hey BritishGas, I reckon we could be the best of friends if only you would stop whining like a tart.

Your lot were crying like babys when Sheff Weds fans were calling you a tinpot outfit with no potential and low attendances, you called them arrogant bastards, you call us City fans arrogant bastards...and then you and your fellow 'fans' come on here and do the same. Some Gasheads are ok, like Miagsygas for example, most of you though are hypocrites and I dont give a toss if you dont like me pointing that out.

I signed up on here because I respect TUFC as a club and a westcountry rival, perhaps if you and yours showed a bit more respect you wouldnt attract the attention of argumentative shitheads like me.

If any Torquay fans want me to f*ck off then I will, especially as they dont need my help to put you boys in your place. It is, afterall, their forum not yours but in future BG show some respect or feel the kinky wrath.

....and its Mr Fowler to you.

I think ull find ur average attendance is like 12/13 thousand if it wasnt for the big games and away fans bringing 2000 your attendances would only be 10k a week i remember when you were top of the championship and still only gettin 13 k ... any way :) good luck next season everyone nice quick trip back to leauge 1 will be nice
Once again your figures are hilariously wrong, I could go into it but your doing enough boring for the both of us anyway Im not the one whos come on here to tell everyone how massive we are.

Im not going to turn this into a City/Rovers slanging because a)...Its way to easy to win and b)...this is a TUFC forum. Why dont you sign up to OTIB where you can discuss our respective attendances in more detail. Or do you feel that by writing on here everyone will just accept what you say as gospel and believe that BRFC are some kind of football giant.

simonb wrote:5k against wednesday i think your lying...

1k Weds fans? I think your the one whos lying.

Fact is mate for years your average attendance has been boosted by playing in the same league as teams like Leeds, Norwich, Southampton and Sheff Weds (you know, proper big clubs) who bring thousands of away fans to your shed, without those teams your "usual 6.5K" is actually closer to 5k (in a city of 500k) hence your nickname 'the Blue Few'.

Yet you and some of your fellow fans sign up on here to give it the big un. I thought it was supposed to be us City fans who were the arrogant ones according to gasheads??

Your either a hypocrite or a closet sheedhead, either way why dont you go out and talk to girls or play on the swings and let TUFC look forward to the very real possibility that they are going to take 6 points off you next season.

As for taking the p*ss out of Torquay fans taking 5K all the way to OT how many HOME supporters did you have for the biggest game in your recent history, the relegation battle against Sheff Weds?.......5k........and that was a HOME match. How loyal you are!

You havent been getting regular 10k plus crowds for over 30 years....FACT!

As for the Manchester City example, they are owned by one of the worlds richest men and your funded by a cowboy builder plus (and I could be wrong) I reckon Man City have sold more than 1600 season tickets.

A few years back we lost a play off final so I can feel your pain, it sucks but like all football supporters we'll be back in August and who knows what next season will hold for both our clubs. A double promotion would be nice. Fair play to your fans who made a hell of a long trip to Manchester today, F*ck the Champions League!

Re: Good Luck

Bad luck today lads (and ladies of course), actually feel genuinely gutted for you especially as Torquay United seem to be one of the very few other clubs in our region that arent followed by a rabble of absolute tits!

I really hope next season you take 18 points off Muff, Swindle and Bristol Wotsits and IF Paul Buckle does go to the blue few rest assured that he will be disappointed very quickly....even though apparently they are HUGE (????).....and apparently they took 100k to Wembley (???????)......and APPARENTLY they have got loads of CASH (?????????????????????).

Now go to the bar, or the fridge...Tell the barman or the pint of milk that Kinky John has sent you and the drink of your choice will be yours, put it on my tab.

Respect to you

Re: Trollope to you?

Evening all.

For those of you who dont know the Brizzzzzle Evening Post, it is a bastion of lazy journalism. Their roving reporters rarely leave the deckchairs in front of their computer screens and as a result most of their football stories usually appear to have been copied straight from the local forums of either City or the blue few. Any talk of Trollope coming to you probably started on the BRFC forum (although I cant confirm this as Im banned because they cant take a joke).

To be honest I still cant quite believe that Paul Buckle would want to leave a (possibly) promoted team to manage a club of similar size in a division that he had just been promoted from, all this talk of vast riches (they are skint, even with the money from Hoskins), potential (surely every team has potential??) and a huge fanbase (so far City have sold 8000 more season tickets than them) is nonsense.

Good luck on Saturday, Hope you do it!
