Torquay United v Altrincham Sat 21 August KO 3pm

2-0 down at half time, two bad defensive errors and United never looked like scoring .no doubt GJ will give them a kick up the backside at half time.

What happened to all the other applicants with a proven track record in the EFL or the National league. Is this a cheap option ?
I suppose Herrera will be his number 2 as well. we are doomed .

Bromley v Torquay United Match Day Thread 12/9/17

Well that really was a kick in the guts, you knew it had to happen that Brett Williams would score.but a hat trick is even worse .Kevin Nicholson this is all down to you .ok he was lazy with us but hey he was still scoring goals and not offer him another contract was a disgrace.
I'm so pissed off even more now that it looks like we are going to get the Bath City manager god help us,the club has become a laughing stock .

Poke to return?

Now that we know that Brendan Moore has left for Rochdale, Pokey would be a good no 2 keeper as you have to ask why did Woking release him.
I just hope that Torquay do sign two keepers this coming season and preferably someone new to the club.

Retain List

These "middle ground "players have probably been told we would like you to stay but on reduced terms so go away and see if you can get a better offer at another club if not come back to us so we can sort out a deal.

Can we Survive? 10 Games Remaining.

The Chester defeat for me was the pivotal game and what with the other teams winning around us its going to be difficult from now on. I cant see us getting anything from the Aldershot and Lincoln games and our fate could easily be decided as early as the 17th April.
I'm angry, dam angry that the current owner (Clark Osbourne ) who promised so much and has given us nothing and they are just waiting for the inevitable to happen and the 5 year plan that they talked about will never happen and if they don't get the freehold of plainmoor they may just walk away and close the doors.
I have been a gulls supporter for over 60years and the way the management of the club has been run for the past few years has been disgraceful and if it wasn't for the Bristows who have put massive amounts of money in the club ,the club would of been in administration years ago.
I will follow the gulls what ever league they are in and I just hope that by some minor miracle that they manage to pick up a few wins over the next five games to retain their National League status.

National League games tonight

If we lose at home on Saturday against Guiseley ,I cannot see us getting out of the bottom four.
The buck has to stop with Nico as he got the majority of the current squad together with some very poor signings.
I'm fed up with hearing the same excuses every other week its getting like a broken record.
Alarm bells should be ringing already.

Torquay Utd V Sutton Utd 25/02

Very depressing reading all the fans reports from the game and to those who actually went to Plainmoor and experienced this crap I would be demanding my money back.
I really cant add anymore to what has already been said but the club is heading for a slow death unless major changes are done now, surely those in charge are not blind and can see what is going on and need to do something about it.
The players maybe be world beaters in training but as soon as they get on the pitch they get stage fright and lose all confidence and something in not right and has to change.
And I agree with most comments about loan players why bring them in and not use them and as for young Ruairi Keating put him along side Brett Williams from the start and if its not working then make changes, poor kid getting 5 minutes at the end of each match is not the way to go.
Finally i have not been a fan of recycled players who come back to the club for a second time as their are rarely as good as when they left and the prime example's are LRT and Shaun Harrod who have been nowhere as good as they were first time around.

New Players/Loan

I see that John Rooney who was Wrexhams leading goal scorer this season has been loaned out to Guiesley and he scored the winner against Sutton United last night , evidently he wanted more money at Wrexham and Wrexham said no and benched him for the last three league games until Guiesley came along and offered to pay his wages until the end of the season.
Its a shame we cant attract players like him and you have to wonder how serious are we about survival this season and is the club doing enough.

Gulls abroad

Hi Midtable,
I have tried listening to the gulls using my wireless headphones in bed but as I am a passionate supporter I tend to get vocal much to the displeasure of my missus and waking her up after 2.00am in the morning is not a good idea, hence I disappear to the study where I can listen to the game and be as vocal as I want to be.
Being in Australia has its limitations to what time I can listen to the gulls ,the game normally starts either at 12midnight or 2.00am on a Sunday morning over here depending on summer time changes.
