Re: Use of the loan market.

Ha! That's brilliant, we walked out of the game worried about missing Downes for Plymouth! Huge relief.

Re: Nice steward for once!

At the Cheltenham game, just after Macklin got stretchered off, the guy in front of me asked him if he could find out how he was, and he kept radioing people until he got an answer, legend!

Re: Fleetwood Town v Torquay United - 18/8/12

Great confidence booster for Pokey after a few shaky moments per season. The goals will come, and it sounds like we still have a decent defence. Great start to build upon!

Re: Jo Kuffour on a free?

Ling did mention that we were short up top. In an article called Answers from within on the o/s, he said
“I think the answers are already in the building and that will allow us to spend money in possible other areas, i.e. centre-half and maybe centre-forward.”

Re: 5 Brain Cells

I do understand what people are saying, and maybe made the mistake of posting just after we got back from the game, when I was soaking wet, half cut, and not in the best of moods. Apologies for that!
It's nice to mix the chants, but personally I'm happy singing yellow army all day long when Plainmoor gets going.

Re: 5 Brain Cells

I agree that the Konchesky thing got boring, but those lads get more than their fair share of abuse, as half the time, theyre the only people that actually chant anything. If you don't like their chants, then start your own! Im sure they'd join in, and otherwise we'd all be stood there in silence.
Also where was Barlow? when we haven't got a drummer then any chant doesn't spread further than a block or so. We need the drum there every week if we have any chance of a good atmosphere (that the whole ground can hear).

Football Ground Guide

Is there anyone who knows anything about photography who could get to Plainmoor and take a couple of shots for the ground guide? I always check it before an away game, and am sure loads of fans check it before they come down ours. Would be nice to have it up to date, and would maybe attract a few more fans to make the journey from further afield.

Re: Torquay United v Leicester City - 14/8/12

Anyone know any more about the training ground injuries?? said on the o/s today, that Macklin and Stevens had picked them up. We'd really be lacking pace up front if their not fit in time.

Re: Arsenal Academy

I know that the under 14s lost 4-0. My brother (Neal Osborn) is one of their keepers. He acknowleged a couple of mistakes (conceeding 3 himself), but what Iv'e heard from the parents is that Arsenals youth played like a machine, spraying the ball around for the whole game. All in all though, considering the gap, i don't think its a bad result. The boys should be proud.

Re: PSF: Exeter City v Torquay United Tues 31/07/12

Definately the lineup I'd want to see. Unfortunately minus Morris. I've been defending him for months on here, and I still do think that theres a player somewhere there. But last night he certainly wasn't up to the standard of Craig or Damon, and played at least one ball that we very nearly conceeded from.
