Re: Billy Bodin
It is all about confidence. Which billy is suffering from at the moment. Does not help when people are on his back all the time which knocks his confidence for six....yes he has lost his shooting boots but I would say he will definitely come good...just extra support..I know I'll get all the posters with the we pay our money...but when Billy's back on track and has got his confidence back he will be a handfull for any league 2 club and will be knocking them in...have faith..not despair

Nothing less than a good performance next Tuesday will be needed to make you feel better rach...we need the hunger backrachii12 wrote:So I woke up with a stinking cold and headache and made it worse by sitting through 90 minutes of that absolute c**p. Stupid idea.
I normally stick up for Bodin, but today was shocking, his finishing just seems to have vanished and I think we seriously need to bring in someone whether it be loan or buying. What the hell is going to happen when Rene's baby is born?? (due xmas day) it's highly likely he is going to have time off and what we will we do without him I have no idea. I honestly can't remember watching such a bad game apart from when we lost 5-2 to Gillingham last season at home and even that wasn't anywhere near as bad.
There was a lot of booing at Plainmoor as well today and I normally hate this and find it disrespectful, but at full time I wanted to boo as well, absolutely shocking. Harrogate throughly deserved to go through and I was pleased that some of our fans clapped them off the pitch (I did too). They really put a shift in and I hope they have a decent run now.
I am also upset that most of our players darted down the tunnel and didn't think to applaud us for the absolute monstrosity we were subjected to.
Completely rubbish today, I can hardly get to home games now and when I do I do not want to watch Torquay play like that.![]()
Rant over.

Always nicely put in your inevitable style mat...
If you look at glosters post he implies we are a BIG club but a sad 1800 attendance is not big IMO ...what your applying is Truro is a bigger club as its bigger but is it really a draw...a good championship side is considered a big club and a cherry draw...suggest you re visit that post...very derogatory towards htfc too and now who's got egg on their face....might I suggest you try the dunces hat on for size ?
I'm gutted as the next fan and wish harrowgate fc all the best and hope they get a good BIG club like Leeds or middle borough...enough said....like everyone has said a must win game on tuesday night will be the perfect tonic for this performance...

dont think so Glostergull....Glostergull wrote:To Qoute one fan on thier thread about the match. "Let's see if we can beat them and then get a big tie in the next round".
Hey guys. We are your big tie. We are going well in our league and the big boys don't come into it untill the third round. You aint gonna get bigger.
we are hardly a big club ....but i do worry about games like this as this could be a right banana skin...i predict a very nervous 1-0 battle....
Lets just hope its a good game from both teams

Re: Torquay United v Accrington Stanley - 13/10/12
Then its all complicated because TUFC supporters will say why do we pay £20 for BB and they pay only £16...so the easiest thing to do is keep it all the same...sorry away fans but thats life....enjoy a far better view of your team instead of a ramshackle away shed....extra money well spent IMHO

[colaustrianandygull wrote:I think the contrary Kingsgull. Based on the gulf in quality between the two teams there can be NO excuses if at least a 6-0 win is not registered. Likewise a 2-0 win is unacceptable. So everyone knows what is expected of them and if the players go out there and do what is expected of them then there is no problem and no danmed if you do damned if you don't scenario. If England win 2-0 then, yes, in my opinion you are crap because it shouldn't happen. If England win 6-0 then IMO England have got the job done but nothing else. If England win 10-0 then i will be fairly impressed. What i don't want to happen though is for England to go 5-0 up first half and then second half there are no goals as usually happens.

Re: World Football thread
it is expected to be a one way street...but how many of you remember a few years ago when we were saying we need min 8 goals to qualify against San Marino and THEY scored in the first 25 seconds !!!!
I could not believe what i was seeing ....
these games are a no way to please situation so need to get out of the way...if we score just a couple...then we are crap ..if we score loads...well they are only San Morino....big banana skin out of the way and await the tricky away game on tuesday v Poland
