Re: Potential New Strikers?
it was Jeff Goulding who did not want to locate down to the westcountry as he was a target and Elliot benyan is on too higher wages so unless Sturrock would be sensible and negotiate then elliot is another target we tried but were unsuccessfull...

Re: Aldershot v Torquay United - 29/12/12
Just as a matter of interest we did actually do all right when mansel was out before including the 2-0 win at York and McDonald has been in fine form since Saah suspended so if Nial back and hopefully Macklin back soon..a little nurturing to Danny and Billy to build up the confidence then I think that we should be positive about this match........COYY

Gullintwoplaces ..think brucie implied that a striker for striker may have proved a better tactic as dave also mentioned suggesting yeoman on for Jarvis...not suggesting lingy got tactics wrong but felt at 5 minutes to go best not to go all out and do something silly and hold the defence but it did not work today..just invite pressure...just hope next Saturday tactics work as it means more to win next week

really daft .....rules are rules so why casually bend them when the FA feel like it in this case ... sends out the wrong signals.....

Andy i just love your posts when there like this !!! Made me chuckle this cold freezing morning...austrianandygull wrote:Dear Santa
I've been a really good boy this year, helping the elderly and saying sorry for uncontrollable outbursts on this forum, you should know, i've told you to f*ck off on a number of occasions! So please can i have maximum points for my beloved Torquay United in December as a present? I deserve it. Starting today against the Daggers?
I know you're a Torquay fan deep down and you read this forum religously. There are a few dicks on here, sorry about that Santa but you know it makes sense. Underneath that mysteriously rotund body is a yellow heart wishing it could be set free and I would fully support a campaign for you to change your strip from Exsh*tter red and white to a new yellow and blue. That would just be sex man!!!
Thanks man.
P.S: If we don't beat Daggers today then i'll know that you either don't exist, you're a fake clammy overweight paedophile who gets his kicks from doing stints in shopping malls dishing out presents to kids. There ain't no way on this planet that i'd let my kid sit on some random blokes knee. OR you're on the dole but getting cash in hand but are definately NOT a paedophile. The lack of three points today certainly won't be because, even though you are real, i have been a naughty boy this year so am not getting anything. That would just be unacceptable and you would receive a fairly robust and comprehensive letter of complaint in reply!
So don't break my heart Santa ( i actually tell my little one he is correctly addressed using the term 'Father Christmas' in our house as we aren't Americans ).
Don't prove me right by being a paedophile, please, i NEED to believe! Give us the points today or you can f*ck off if you think you're getting any mince pies lardy!

Re: Angus MacDonald set to return...
i spoke to Lathaniel at the do at the Osborne and he definitely wanted to stay here..he was happy here....cambgull wrote:I'm pretty sure LRT was released because he wanted to leave and was fed up with the lack of first team opportunities, not because it was a mistake by Ling. Ironically though, LRT probably would have his first team chance this time around.
I thought he could of sorted as a makeshift winger/striker as he was great going forward...tended to be used for the last 5/10 minutes..

anybody that gets up and does something positive ..whether you think it is cringeworthy ..to support our team is good in my eyes....keep up the good workroyalgull wrote:look at what they've achieved, a few cringey flags? Leave it to the europeans where it looks good. I think the most naff thing i've ever seen is when Aldershot's 34 fans turn up with 40 flags. uLOLtras.

no...hes playing a 8-1-1 system @ YorkPhilGull wrote:Oh dear. No problem with Angus but, unless we have a long-term injury I don't know about we don't need him.
Is Ling worried about the number of goals conceded? Are we going to see a 5-4-1 on Saturday?
