Player Search - Who Will Turn Up?
To be fair it wasn't Merse who turned this into another thread about Kevin fecking Nicholson.

TUST Updates
It's good they've got their foot in the door indeed DNA.
I did chuckle at the reference to stadium blueprints though...that's ALL you've ever delivered isn't it Clark, just plans!!
He mentions the local board...again...still no progress there. Repeats his intention to he here for the long term...nothing changed there.
Actions will speak louder than words.

All points I made (all be it more succinctly) but you have conveniently omitted from the text you quoted.
We have a foot in the door. We remain vigilant.

Thing is there isn't really much to say though, is there?merse btpir wrote: ↑14 May 2018, 21:38 Hard to accept that some two and a half hours after posting the detail; no-one has the grasp of the situation to even make a comment ~ I certainly have comment to make but anticipate being ridiculed by the usual suspects; so let's read what those individuals have to say first.
He's hardly going to sit there like some bond villain giving away his evil plans whilst stroking a cat, is he?
It's great the TUST have opened dialogue and will continue to do so. It's encouraging CO continues to reaffirm his commitment to the club. We do need to generate fresh income, this is obvious to anyone with half a brain, we probably need to move to a new ground to open up further opportunities as well.
All we can do is remain vigilant and TUST a critical friend.
A case of as you were really.

Fan Voted Player of the Year + Seasonal Stats
Ha ha you can tell it's close season!
Some great stats in here but, for what it's worth, I also think it's odd to call a team from only the last 8 seasons an "all time team"...context or not.
Doesn't detract from the fact it's an interesting read though.

Season ticket prices and match day prices are released
I thought alcohol was the step below?Plainmoor78 wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 21:21 It's a tricky balancing act trying to set a price that will not alienate those attending fans we still have and trying to balance the budget. All things considered i think it is a fair deal, only hope we get a team that will boost attendances.
By the way it has not been mentioned anywhere else, but will we be able to consume alcohol in view of the pitch now?

The most rationale post on a thread that should never have seen the light of day.

Ha ha ha ha! Literally just spat my tea out!notnow wrote: ↑29 Apr 2018, 18:47 Nicho was in Bristows on Saturday, no doubt he was gloating and rightfully so! He would have made sure we didn’t go down! Even on the crappy non existent budget! He would not have given Reid another contract thereby allowing another striker to come in who would have done a better job! Reid and owers have cost us!

This hits the nail on the head. If we have another awful start the atmosphere will quickly turn toxic and we could end up in the same mess as last season.westyorkshiregull wrote: ↑29 Apr 2018, 10:05 What difference has he made ?
It's been a disaster and for me we need to start afresh like we didn't do last season
The first six games are vital for everyone which is ridiculous really and a symptom of Osborne and Harrop's reactive approach to running the football club.

No arguments with that really. Problem is who in their right mind will take Clarke, Gowling or Pittman. Those two year contracts could really hurt us. AND no relegation release clause...just shows what a joke of a club we are.

Meanwhile in TQ1 the player of the year award is alive and kicking and our inept collection of losers will no doubt be roundly applauded by the usual suspects as they parade the pitch waving to the fans.Bloggy wrote: ↑27 Apr 2018, 15:56 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43925314
Interesting article on Beeb site... and quote from MK Dons Chairman 'we are not a football club that wishes to celebrate failure' regarding their End of Season Awards night.

Gosling and Pittman - two players who you would think are amongst our highest earners and we've seen next to nothing from them. You can throw Clarke into that category and, to a lesser extent, Gowling.brucie wrote: ↑27 Apr 2018, 11:18 Yes be happy for Keating to see out his contract. He is at least a trier unlike that wiggy **** Gowling who will surely have his contact paid up.
Presumably that was what his non performance was all about on Tuesday night. I never want to see him in a Torquay shirt again.
Pittman will no doubt get paid up as well. Goodness knows what has happened to Sokolik - isn't he ill?
On the subject of disappearing players what on earth has happened to Gosling? - did he ever return from Gibraltar?
I have a little sympathy for Owers but that's a big chunk of budget tied up in those frauds.

Nicholson wasn't complaining about the budget...remember his comment about the squad being play offs ready and the new gaffer had won the.lottery?Flipper wrote: ↑25 Apr 2018, 18:07 Yes but what they didn't have was the increased budget to do it with and they weren't afforded the opportunity to bring in the players they needed. In fact when Robbie asked for an extra player because he was struggling to put out a side due to injuries he was told no.
The powers that be wanted them both out. It's a simple as that and unfortunately early season results gave them the chance to do that. Stage managed well but you reap what you sow and they now have their reward.
Just as ridiculous as Owers' "we're not rubbish anymore".
The truth is neither of them have all the qualities we need but for different reasons.

Hereford - NLN or NLS
I'm with Merse on this one. As great an away day Hereford is, with some fantastic pubs, it would be much better for Torquay if they are in the northern division.
