Player of the season vote

Despite having a season ticket I have decided I won't be going to Plainmoor again this season so won't be voting. It's been long and difficult watching without having to suffer the inevitable applause and lap of honour they will get at the end of the game on Saturday. What a message it would send if nobody turned up!

Would be nice if enough people did vote for the fans - that would send a message - but realistically that's never going to happen. Luke Young will win it.

There were more than a few still clapping last night

It's staggering that this level of ineptitude is not only tolerated but seemingly congratulated by some of our fans.

Romain and Dorel only.

Romain will get a better deal closer to home though.

Luke Young has been part of a team that has continually failed over recent seasons. I will lose no sleep if he goes.

PS - if those three are all you'd offer contacts to our squad is clearly not good enough!

MOTM - AFC Flyde

None of them.

Embarrassing.

Player of the year should be scrapped this season out of respect to previous winners.

Will Luke Young want to leave Devon? I think if we stay Full time I can honestly see him staying.. Maybe I am just delusional
Our current team is not good enough, in my opinion, to go back up. They are a bunch of serial losers with a lack of desire that is only surpassed by their lack of footballing ability.

Most of the contracted squad are either sick notes or not good enough. The more we get rid of the better.

The biggest surprise for me was how many still clapped them off! Unbelievable.

This. :goodpost:

Hargreaves, Knill, Cox, Nicholson and now Owers have presided over some of the worst football I have had the misfortune to watch in all my days of supporting Torquay. In reality they have all been crap.

The fast flowing beautiful football played by Leroy, and the direct free-scoring Buckle side seem like an eternity ago.

:goodpost: This.

It's the latest article which happens to be regarding hospitality. The photo is entirely relevant.

Strange thread.

GET Gary Owers, Martin Khul & Geoff Harrop OUT NOW

Can we not move on from Kevin bloody Nicholson?

It's quite possible, and indeed probable, that neither him nor Owers are up to the job.

Or, to look at it another way, stop going and show there is no demand for a football club in Torquay.

The houses can then be built on Plainmoor and CO won't even need to pretend he is going to build a new ground as the public evidently don't want one.

Dangerous times.

Torquay United v Bromley 20/1/18

I left early too mate. Couldn't take anymore. I love this stupid fecking football club but standing their getting angrier and angrier at the whole situation was doing me no good especially when you can't effect what's going on and most of the players couldn't give a shit.

You're spot on about Nicho people need to move on. The truth is neither him or Owers are up to the job but when you've got owners who couldn't care less what can you do.

Meanwhile ITV Westcountry news will be broadcasting an interview the TUST as part of a wider piece about the club.

Maybe we are newsworthy after all Jim!

If there was one, it would be handpicked answerable to CO only. It would have no independence or power since none if its members would be shareholders.
It would simply be there to oversee the day to day operation of the club. It would not be there to oppose or obstruct CO. Which is what I think teigngull hopes it would do.
I think it's due to the fact it is one of many unfulfilled promises.

Currently out on loan from his parent club if I'm right, but then again I might be barking up the wrong tree.
On loan from Peterborough at the time?
