Not that much of a surprise really, Macclesfield are top of the league. If he does well there he could play in the football league for them next season. He ain't daft!

Don't worry I won't...there's too much worrying about upsetting people on here...gets in the way of good debate!

I completely agree time is against us but I struggle to see why KN's stock continues to rise. For my money neither him nor Owers were the right appointments.

The damage was taking too long to get a new manager in and poor recruitment in the summer. The situation was (is) ridiculous...almost like they want us to fail???

What is the difference in budget though?

I appreciate Kev saved us twice but I'm also of school of thought that he was manager when we got in the mess to escape in the first place.

That said Nicholson, Ian Atkins and Steve McQueen combined couldn't get us out of it this time!

What I find difficult to grasp, playing Devil's advocate, is that Kev was given 2 years to assemble "his" team and it still wasn't good enough. Yet Owers isn't afforded the same consideration.

I'm not saying Owers is the manager to take us forward. Christ we may never get that under GI. But he has only had loans and out of contracts to work with. To be fair his side look fitter and more drilled than Kev's but just as unlikely to win a sodding game of football.

I'll keep going, whatever division we are in, but bloody hell it's hard work watching this crap week in week out.

Where is Clarke Osborne?

Teigngull wrote: 12 Jan 2018, 14:36 TUFC fans are probably one of if not the most fickle set of fans in the country. If we do find ourselves in nls next season & struggle crowds will plummet, but on the other hand if we are right in the mix you could more than likely see crowds well in excess of 2000 + after a sustained run of positive results. If results take a 3 - 4 game downward turn we'll lose a few hundred this is Torquay United it's always been like it .
I think it's massively unfair to label the whole fan base as fickle. Yes there is a proportion who will quickly find something else to do when we are struggling but our attendances are remarkably good when you consider how much shite we have been forced to suffer over the past few years!

Let's give the lad a chance.

We're hardly going to be signing someone from their first team are we?

We are bottom of the league, situated in the arse end of nowhere to a footballer, and probably offering shit wages.

Every player we sign will be some kind of gamble...either unproven at this level, a journeyman or youngster trying to prove themselves.

Great appointment.

The finger should be pointed at the owners and Harrop for taking a ridiculously long period of time to make the appointment. In my opinion that is when the damage was done.

GI bring the scaffolding in

merse btpir wrote: 21 Dec 2017, 09:22 Yes but in some tiny minds you fix the guttering and it's a pre-amble to demolition....only in [s]Royston Veysey[/s] the upside down world of the deluded; eh!

As long ago as a couple of years ago I was told it was quite alarming how even the infrastructure of Bristows Bench ~ which is even now only five years old ~ has been neglected and insufficiently maintained and that considerable expense had been 'pushed on' to the current owners. There are similar problems of a more established nature in the Family Stand infrastructure causing ceilings to leak and the subsequent deterioration of the interior associated with that; but do something about it and the club stands accused of preparing for demolition.

It's a shame that the club has never thought fit to showcase the interior facilities to the public.
Whilst the bench offer's some great views to watch the football we must be the only professional club in the country who built a new stand with no catering or toilet facilities. The fact all the fans in the bench and the family stand have to share one catering "hut" and a toilet block is ridiculous. As is the flow of spectators from the stand it must take ages for those fans at the away end of the bench to get out when we have a large crowd.

A bar for the away fans at half time could have generated some much needed extra income.

I understand the funding was linked to use by the school but like many things with the recent history of this club it feels like a missed opportunity.

Boycott

Yorkieandy wrote: 12 Nov 2017, 23:12 Both myself and Teigngull have made it clear that boycotting or non attendance shall we say isn't or never has been about team performance. It's about finally waking up the fact the club is dying and we're sick to the back teeth of being treated like imbeciles by the football club.

Please read things through properly before making irrelevant comments assuming your comments were aimed at the OP. If not then your post has some merit.
I bet my bottom dollar we wouldn't be seeing thread's entitled "boycott" if we were knocking on the door of the playoffs.

If you can't support us when we lose or draw, don't support us when we win.

Easy to "boycott" when we're doing shit.
