Re: Match Day Programme (tq1)
Anyone know if it would be possible to make and sell electronic copies of the programme for those of us unable to attend the game?

Re: Dirty Hereford ball boy tactics.
Hereford's second-half tactics were a complete disgrace to be honest. It was embarrassing. Taking minutes to take set-pieces. Players going down at every opportunity to disrupt the play. I can understand players taking their time a little more but Hereford were really taking us and the ref for a laugh. There was hardly any football played in the final 15-20 minutes due to this. It ruins the game. Torquay have been fantastic in seeing games out this season using skill and by keeping possession of the ball. Shame Torquay didn't do this against Crewe though...

Re: Lets talk tactics
My initial thought was to keep it tight up there and then play forward formation at Plainmoor.
Macdonald has been excellent both times I've seen him so wouldn't object to him being used.
I think maybe Jarvis and Morris on the wings might work.

Lets talk tactics
I'm interested to hear how other gull's fans think tactically we should approach the two Cheltenham games.
A lot will depend on whether Howe can play or not. It was great of Howe to come over and thank the fans at the end of the Hereford game but I had a feeling he might have been saying his goodbyes for the season. Hopefully not.
So, do we focus on keeping it tight at the back and try and nick a goal like we've done for a lot of the season? Do we go all-out for a goal from the start like we did second half at Egbar Street? Or could Lingy have something else up his sleeves? Should Ellis play up-front?
The past 4 or 5 games have all effectively been cup finals and 4-5-1 has not served us well. I'd like to see us try 4-4-2 for our remaining cup finals.

Re: Are we going up automatically?
I believe its still ours to lose. I just watched the Accrington and Hereford highlights - both teams playing okay at the moment and more than capable of taking points from Crawley (as Accrington did against Shrews at the weekend). We need 6 points and we all know we CAN do it. Whether we will or not is another matter - all good fun though!!!

Re: Giving away a Wimbledon ticket.
Hi Joe, I'm interested in the ticket if its still going. I wasn't planning to go to game as I couldn't really afford the price of a ticket + train from Cambridge but if a ticket is going free I should be able to cover the cost of the train. Let me know. Thanks. Daniel

Re: Torquay United v Accrington Stanley - 6/4/12
15 points away from Crewe. If I've done my sums right I think that guarantees us a play-off position with 5 games left. Massive achievement!!!
Crawley and Southend both drop points. The table is looking very, very nice indeed....

Re: is brucie right??
I see your point completely and agree to some extent. The two statements don't really contradict each other though, in-fact if you join them to make a sentence they make perfect sense: "we were lucky last night they couldn't finish in front of goal". Mcleod has scored twenty-odd goals this season. He should have added to that tally last night but he didn't due to unusal incompetence on the night - which was lucky for us.

Re: is brucie right??
Totally agree with the views on last night's game in this thread. We WERE lucky last night. Barnet played a system that worked well against us but they couldn't finish in front of goal. We didn't play badly though. Sure, there were mistakes. And Saah in particular I thought really struggled to contain the front two in the first half. In the second half, Torquay played some good passing football and we saw out the game pretty well - one of our true strengths. Rene was amazing for the whole time he was on. Danny similarly played well. Morris came on and had a good spell and should start on Friday. This team just works - really well for many of the reasons laid out by Royalgull. It's a perfect example of the sum of the parts combining to create something special. What a season!!!
