Re: Bristol Rovers

Oh well thats that cup run over to be fair sounds like we had a poor 1st half and a good 2nd half and zebs had his best game by far hopefully he will get some confidence now. See what bucks got to say tomorrow hopefully nothing wrong with the pitch =D. I see you lost to cheltenham by the odd goal aswell never mind the league is more important for you and us onwards and upwards.

Gashead1979 wrote:PB has every right to blame the pitch, its cut at different levels in different areas, really hard to judge passes etc. Some teams are also set up a certain way and if the pitch holds up, you're pacier players are stopped in their tracks.

Same conditions for both sides?? Well yes it was, but It wouldnt have bothered Hereford, they just parked the bus and that was it.
He didn't say he had a problem with the length of the grass he said it was too dry which considering we had monsoon rain for half the week and sprinklers on in the warm up and at half time is a silly excuse. As I said he would be better saying we had an off day but it is a new team and things will get better. Anyway its a bit rude to debate this on torquays forum.

Fair play to you lot you did tell us what to expect and he has not disappointed however the football we have seen so far has been way more exciting than last season and long may it continue. I know things will take time with so many changes its just a shame we have so many impatient people. Well its off to leyton orient in the week so I will let you know what he blames on tuesday.lol

Re: Bristol Rovers

Well last week at macclesfield the grass was too long then yesterday the pitch was too dry even though we had monsoon rain for the past week and sprinklers on before the match and at half time. Sorry but I can't wait until the rugby starts to see what he makes of that wait until they have pulled the grass out he will be pulling his hair out. As for subs well I'm not starting on that YET.

What happened against hereford was we were rubbish and so was hereford it was a very very poor match to be honest I don't know if the cup match took it out of the players or what but it was poor. I am a little concerned with playing players out of position scott mcgleish is not a winger he is a poacher around the box but was on the wing. It seems buckle likes having 4 strikers on the pitch even if there not playing in there best position however buckle done a great job with you so I will trust what he is doing.

Re: Bristol Rovers

To be honest I think he will come good but the problem with a lot of our fans are they have no patience problem at our club I don't know if you get the same problem is there always seems to be a player who gets hounded. Its just a shame the fans don't get behind the players 100% as I think it would help with his confidence which seems really low at the moment. As for our aspirations some of the realists like me believe we will finish mid table and I would be happy with this then to push on next season. I think we have been hyped up far too much and this could be our downfall. Anyway thanks for the info on zebs etc enjoy your season. :)

Re: Bristol Rovers

Hello people I was just after a insight into zebroki
SteveDeckchair wrote:Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I just had a quick peek on the Brizzle Rovers site.

There are a few on there questioning Buckle's substitutions and the fact he consistently plays strikers on the wing!

Also, Zebs is getting a hard time from their fans. Buckle left him on and subbed off Kuffour instead so the crowd boo'd apparently. They are also wondering why Carayol can't get a look in!

I guess the grass isn't always greener eh Zebs?
Hi all is zebs better as a winger or striker in your opinions as we have a lot of people on his back already he just seems to me that he is trying to hard. Alot think he is utter rubbish which to me is mad I hope and believe he will come good. As for carayol that is a very strange situation he comes on as a sub quite often plays fantastic but never gets a start. Oh yeah you are right by the way buckle does like to complain about the pitch,to dry or grass was to long quite funny really.

On your earlier subject, while you're winning, kudos to the ground staff who have done a wonderful job. If you lose, the pitch wasn't fantastic. You'll be getting used to that.

Matt.
Oh well I suppose it will be better than trollope's excuse which was " we were the better team we were just lacking in the final third" which he said after every match we lost which was quite alot. =D

Matt.

Re: FAO forevertufc

To be honest are pitch has been in fantastic condition for the whole season for the last couple of years now so I don't think buckle will have a problem with that. I can remember coming to your place for a pre season friendly I think it was 2 years ago and the pitch was yellow and looked dreadful think there was a row or something with the groundstaff or thay had been sacked.
