Oh no I dont claim to know everything about football and as I stated he may turn out to be an excellent player but the fact remains that many young players show promise and never fulfil it. My point is that he should get his head down and work hard and then he will have the best career possible. An instant move to a bigger club may gain him more cash in the short term but may not be best for his career development.

Haha. Oh yes agents are all about getting the best for their client. Agents make money by moving players on irrespective if it is right for the long term future of the player.
How you can say he is better than Cruise I do not know. The lad has played ONE game of adult first team football. He may well go on to be far better than Cruise but as of now he still has a lot to learn. As for the International duty you mention that is boys football. When he plays for the full team you will have a point. None of us fans can claim to know what a brilliant player he is as he simply hasnt been tested in first team football.

Seems like another case of bad advice from agents. The lad has played 1 game for Torquay United and now thinks he has made it. To be honest he didnt look that good to me. Too slow and bad positional sense. Not at even Cruises standard at the moment. How many of our previous youth players were going to be the next big thing but ended up nowhere. Saul Halpin wowed the Derby staff apparently but couldnt get a first team spot here.
If I was advising the lad I would say sign a deal with the club who brought you up and get your head down and work hard. Then if you are good enough in a few years then you can get a move to a bigger club and all that brings.
Hard work brings rewards not hype and agents.

Rice to be dropped
To say we are stuck with him, deal with it is frankly unacceptable. We might as well give up now if a player playing so badly is guaranteed his place all season. Its nothing personal, he just isnt up to the job and many supporters have always thought this.
I dont subscribe to the view we cant get a replacement. We have got Wakefield. If he is costing us money send him back and use the cash for a keeper. On the other hand if he isnt costing us anything then it proves we can get players for nothing if we try. If Rice remains in goal our season is over.

The fact that our income will drop massively if we dont get promotion is the very reason it is imperative to get a decent keeper in. It doesnt have to cost the earth to get a competent goalkeeper. Presumably we have a scouting system and are watching players all the time. There must be clubs at a higher level who want their players to gain some first team experience and will not charge us the earth. The likes of Accrington get Bettinelli from Fulham and we know they are a smaller club than us. We simply cant afford to not replace Rice. The reason we were relegated from League 1 was solely due to not having a reliable keeper.
We have a loan player we dont need sitting on the bench so surely we can swap him for a keeper.

Clubs already sniffing around our young talent.
It really would be a false economy to sell any players while we have a great chance of promotion. The rewards for regaining League status far outweigh the financial boost of any transfer fee we are likely to receive at this moment in time.
Now is the time to be brave and go for promotion as it will get harder with each passing year.

No he is crap and would want big wages. I think Duane and Ryan together could cause a lot of problems. Give them a chance, they are still young lads.

As far as I am aware a sell on clause is not time sensitive. If one was inserted in the sale to Burton, which I believe one was, then any profit they make on reselling the player a percentage will revert to us.

Moved to Scunny for an undisclosed fee. Hopefully a big one and a nice sell on clause for us!

Well Luton were supposed to be signing him permanently but it seems to have fallen through. Might be out of our price range but if we could afford him 114 goals at Conference and above level are not to be sniffed at.

Rather than splashing the cash on 38 year old Jamie Cureton, I reckon Benson would be a great signing. Scored bags of goals at this level and only 34. He is currently without a club after doing well with Luton last year.

Torquay Fixtures for 2014/2015
Do they just pull names out of a hat. We are at home 4 Saturdays in a row in Nov/Dec and if we get home draws in the FA Cup and Trophy it will be 6 Saturdays in a row. Ridiculous scheduling!

He made the goal that beat us at Plainmoor with a touch of class. Gotta be better than Hawley and Benyon!

Wroe is decidedly average. Little effort and wimped out of tackles and couldnt pass wind.
I would be very disappointed to see him back.

A lot to look forward to?
Anyone who says the Conference is our level is being defeatist I am afraid. We have played the 3rd most games in Level 4 of the pyramid of any club in history, well over 2000 games! We are League 2 and we WILL be back where we belong.
Now is the time more than ever to support our club. The hard times make the good times all the sweeter when they return.
I am giving my full support to CH from now. COYY.
