Yes I can see how Torquay might seem a little boring in comparison to this;

PLAINMOOR FOR SALE?
Signed. 41 now.
Be patient. People have been at work.
If everyone on all 3 forums signs we can surely hit at least 500. It needs to be put on Facebook as that will get a wider audience. Not on there myself.

PLAINMOOR FOR SALE?
That new stadium is working like a dream for West Ham.

New Ground
Thats easy.
They are not offering any ground. The same as everywhere else. They are not interested in TUFC.

Constructive ideas how the club can make some more money
Put on a Plainmoor Beer Festival. Everyone I have ever been to has been packed.
Make sure it is done properly though, get Camra and Bays Brewery involved.

Torquay V Chester - GAME POSTPONED
The FA Trophy has again helped to kill our season. We might be 17pts adrift by the time we play another home League game. All for a waste of time competition. If only we had tried so hard to stay in the FA Cup!

Win the Next Four league Games
Win em? We will be lucky to play them! Fixture pile up of epic proportions. Quite how we fit in 23+ Truro games next season, I am struggling to see.

Fairhurst Gone
I think if he comes down with Halifax next week we should do a big chant of 'theres only one Waide Fairhurst' to let him know that the right minded fans are thinking of him.

Will you go to Truro games next season?
No chance. Not gonna miss Soccer Saturday! I only get to see it when we are away (or waterlogged!) .

Our Club
Gullscorer, I have been going to Plainmoor for 30 years and in that time I have missed 5 home league games due to illness and work commitments. I will continue to go and support the team at every game. I have not booed or shouted abuse at anyone.
For you to tell me that I am not allowed to question things happening at our club is simply wrong. This is a forum for discussing TUFC. No one is questioning the integrity and effort of those in charge but the facts are that we are in serious trouble of tumbling into a League well below our standards where full time football will most likely be unsustainable.
So I am sorry for being worried about the clubs future but I have just as much right to my concerns as you do to your 100% optimism. Where I do agree with you is that boycotting games will serve no purpose other than to further undermine the future of TUFC.

Shepherd Murombedzi.
In a nutshell this might be why you dont understand the frustrations of many long time supporters. You are close to the regime, you are aware of things happening. Well we are not and the communication from the club is frankly poor. Is it any wonder when the Chairman hasnt spoken for months and all we see is a steady draining of the playing squad that we are worried for the future of the club we love.Southampton Gull wrote:
I guess because I'm aware of some of the moves the club are making with regards to recruitment I'm not unhappy to see the backs of players who have proved all season long they aren't good enough or can be relied upon to act as professionals. Just because a player leaves it doesn't mean there isn't a strategy to see through, it just doesn't happen overnight. Breed and Phillips will be hurting as much as all of us but instead of giving up they are working non-stop to give us the best chance possible to beat the drop.
When people like CP Gull, one of this sites most respected and sensible posters feels the need to question then maybe its time to take notice. I support Torquay United . Support for custodians is conditional on them doing the right thing by the club and its long history of professional football.
Hopefully as you say things will happen in the next few days to put our minds at ease as one thing is for certain, without reinforcements we are going down.

Tyrone Marsh
Valid point if it was ONE player but we have shipped more players than Fedex have shipped parcels.IanGull01 wrote:It happens at every club, a player gets unhappy and moves on. It's football I'm afraid!!
Do you want someone who is on the pitch isn't happy and not too bothered! I know what I would rather have.
Do you not find it funny that all of signings Paul Cox made have now basically gone??!! I think that tells you a lot.
If at pre-season, you had the chance of Blissett, Harrad and Marsh, I guarantee you no one would have known who Marsh was and would prefer the other two.
Marsh was good for us and it's a shame he is leaving but good luck too him. He just wasn't happy at Torquay.

Its win or bust time now. Whats done is done. I just hope we get in some fit for purpose players.
I will be there on Boxing Day.
