Top 3 Cities

What are your top 3 cities (that you have actually visited) in the world and also give one which you would love to go to bt haven't yet and another which doesn't interest you in the slightest and you can't see what all the fuss is about.

Given i haven't yet travelled anywhere outside of Europe, these are mine:

1. Vienna - the majestic capital of the world's greatest country.
2. Reykjavik - so weird, happening, natural and cold and they love you if you try and speak a bit of the old Icelandic , a perfect destination.
3. Stockholm - again another cold destination, love it, sat on the baltic sea and so individual.

City i'd most like to visit: When i don't think these are technically cities but i'd go for a toss up between Nuuk in Greenland and Torshavn the Faroe Islands capital. Nuuk just wins.

City i'm not interested in: Tokyo, if i'm sh*t scared of being in London then i'll have a f*cking seizure there!
Far too many people, far too many domestic pets being cooked on street corners and far too many symbols knocking about. It's a no go i'm afraid. AND THEY EAT RAW FISH. Bloody weird.

And Sushi is actually really good, once you get past the 'eugh, yucky raw fish' stuff that brits seem to be born with. (i actually prefer the sashimi myself because I don't see the point of the rice)

Tokyo would be one of the places I most want to visit. just think somewhere as different as home would be very interesting. and hey, at least they drive on the correct side of the road.

I've not actually travelled to too many places, it turns out, so my top 3 aren't especially interesting.

1. New York - it's only down the road and yet it's amazing that I don't go more often. I usually get there about 5 or 6 times a year, and it's always tremendous. Ok, so the weather is a pain (freezing your balls off in winter, melt them off in summer), but there's simply so much to do, even after you've done all the touristy stuff.
2. Hameln - went there on a school thing when i was about 15. very pretty, lots of old stuff to look at (quite like Vienna, I'd imagine, but in a smaller scale). Surrounding area in breathtaking.
3. Las Vegas - yes, it's like Disneyland for grown-ups. and yes, it can get a bit cliched with the hen parties and the drunk guys etc etc. But I just had so much fun there, even outside the gambling. (which was also great)

I'm a 49ERS fan on the back of SF, and I follow the Giants in baseball. (Although I've recently adopted Georgetown Horas as my Lacrosse team).

Upon reflection, I don't think it was Limone, it was on Maggiore rather than Garda. Regardless, it was where I bought my Omega Seamaster, which is still the prettiest thing I own and it's got to be a dozen years old now.

As an aside, my least favourite cities on Earth are Venice, Venice and Venice. Sure, it's pretty and Piazza St. Marco is a very impressive sight, but the rest of it is filthy, smelly and covered in graffiti. I shan't be returning.

I think it's a sad place. Drugs and prostitution is in your face. Seeing people who live there gambling all their money away. My wife's cousin is a cop there and the things I hear from him are just crazy. Guys just grab women on the breast or on the ass in the street. Shootouts are very common. I have family there so sadly I have to go there sometimes.

Hate american football. I'm a Padres fan in Baseball and San Jose Sharks fan in Hockey.

That said, I'd not want to stay in any of the less salubrious places; I was fortunate enough to get a free room at the Bellagio (and then at the Venetian) and those places tend to be a bit...classier. At least until I show up.

I'll be in San Francisco at the beginning of June for work. Not been there before; I was in Santa Clara and San Jose a while back but that was as close as I got to it.

San Francisco is amazing. It has such a buzz. If you like asian girls then it is eye candy. I miss living there it is also my daughters place of birth.

MEMPHIS. (my mecca) home of the king , birthplace of the blues, home of rock and roll and location of the legendary beale street. best week of my life was spent there, not just the elvis stuff but there are many artists and types of music which spawned from memphis.
But yes of course there is elvis presley boulevard which situates a variety of elvis themed hotels and establishments as well as graceland. oh' and the elvis presley mall accross the road from graceland with all its elvis shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, museum, car museum, mini cinema. oooh' nearly forgot, elvis's private jet (lisa marie). but there are lots of things to see and do aside from elvis and music related activities also.love their zoo.

NEW ORLEANS. good fun, good music, good people, good food, good atmosphere, strangely exotic and unusual. meant to have a high crime rate in some parts and yes, was warned not to go in certain areas, some parts of the french quarter are barriered at night.

CAIRO. very hard to describe this place. only spent a day there, all i can say is its either a total sh!thole or the most stunning place on earth. never been anywhere like it and probably never will again. on one hand you have the pyramids etc, the main city, the museum (saw some creepy sh!t in there, had me calling for my mummy, hee,hee,hee =D )and all the nice touristy stuff, and on the other hand, shacks, hovels, poverty, despair and it looks like a dump. theres something enchanting about it which i cant desscribe or put my finger on.

andy you would love it, they've got a bit of a thing about cats there.

chicago - fab city, great culture, lovely pizza!

dubai - amazing place. two blokes sat in the pub - one says ive got an idea lets build a city in the desert......................

dublin - just for the craic!

San Diego is where my wife is from. I loved living there, so laid back. I have never been to Chicago yet I want to and I don't live that far away.

Went to Detroit last year........interesting place

1. Saint Petersburg - Like Moscow it's incredibly pricey but it's infinitely more beautiful. So much culture, so much vodka, incredible sport in Zenit and HC-SKA and my first Russian girlfriend!

2. Riga - 50p pint, incredible history and pig ear soup.

3. Oviedo - Fantastic memories, cider that rivals that of the west country and beautiful geography.


Place I'd most like to visit: Baku, Reykjavik, Ljubljana.
