As I live in Asia I have a bias towards this part of the world.

1. I don't know if this still counts as a city, but it completely blew me away. Anghkor Wat in Cambodia is my favourite place on the planet. I get goose pimples just thinking about it. The history, architecture, size and atmosphere are mind blowing. The Cambodian people are amazing considering the recent genocide by the Khmer Rouge. You meet people there, if they're over 40 then they lived thro it. What did they have to do to survive? A truely humbling experience, I will never forget it.

2. Bangkok. I am not a city person and I was told get out of Bk as quick as you can you will hate it! I loved the place from the moment I landed there. A crazy, noisy, polluted assault on the senses. Just a fantastic city. If you've ever experienced the Skytrain early commute to work then you will know that having the neck skills of an owl is a definite advantage. It's totty overload! Unbelievable, they don't call it the city of angels for nothing.

3. Melbourne. If I had to choose a place to live other than Asia, this would be it. I love Melbourne. A complete mix of cultures, tastes and peoples. The people are so friendly and approachable it's a pleasure to be there. Melbourne is like a comfy pair of slippers you never want to take off.

As for a City that I just couldn't be bothered with? Anywhere in the USA. Plastic people with a plastic view of the world fed to them by plastic politicians. Just can't be arsed. I've met many yanks and count several as good friends. They are tho the ones who have left their home country for much the same reasons I left mine.

Not all are like that. I love culture but San Francisco is a must. San Diego is a must. Two very different cities and very different people. The city (it's a town) where I live now is so unlike the american stereotype it's unreal.

Have a nice day dude

Apologies SNW, did I forget the City I haven't been to yet? Probably Yangon. Oh I see, I dissed a whole country. Sorry, I meant every City in that country. Yeah I know they're not all bad and Yanks can be a little strange. BTW have you been to any of the places I mentioned?

My bottom 3 would be Agra, cos it's a sh1thole apart from the Tal Mahal and Red Fort. Kolkata, because I still have nightmares about Howrah Junction Train station and London, cos it's a sh1thole.

AustrianBodinFan wrote:What are your top 3 cities (that you have actually visited) in the world and also give one which you would love to go to bt haven't yet and another which doesn't interest you in the slightest and you can't see what all the fuss is about.

Given i haven't yet travelled anywhere outside of Europe, these are mine:

1. Chesterfield - the majestic capital of the world's greatest country.
2. Barnsley - so weird, happening, natural and cold and they love you if you try and speak a bit of the old Icelandic , a perfect destination.
3. Mansfield - again another cold destination, love it, sat nearly on the north sea and so individual.

City i'd most like to visit: When i don't think these are technically cities but i'd go for a toss up between Nuuk in Greenland and Torshavn the Faroe Islands capital. Nuuk just wins.

City i'm not interested in: Tokyo, if i'm sh*t scared of being in London then i'll have a f*cking seizure there!
Far too many people, far too many domestic pets being cooked on street corners and far too many symbols knocking about. It's a no go i'm afraid. AND THEY EAT RAW FISH. Bloody weird. Sheffield scares me too,

Edited for more acuracy.
Come on Andy. You don't really expect us to believe you heard of any other places than where you have been oop norf do you.
Always Look on the bright side of life
