I don't think it's a case of losing it all in one year Matt. In fact according to a post on their forum they made a whopping great profit last year:

http://www.shotsweb.co.uk/mb/viewtopic. ... 3855101b65

This then all wiped out with a similar size loss this year.

Don't forget we had losses of nearly £1.5 million quid covering a couple of years getting back to the league. I guess if Thea demanded all her money back at once then we would be in a similar situation to the Shots.

I see what you're saying about our losses, Jezza, but was our situation now slightly different? The whole club had been decimated by a few years of zero investment (Bateson) and one big final nail (Knobertson). We essentially started again from scratch in the Conference.
Aldershot have been trundling along in L2 for 5 years now.
Perhaps, if someone understands fully, we could have an explanation of what's gone so wrong?

Matt.

Now have a 10 points deduction going into next season. I hope they don't do a Stockport.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Where's this from, Andy? I'd like to read the story.
