England v Montenegro / Wycombe v Torquay

Post by Andy W WWFC »

Just an idea for anyone coming to the England v Montenegro World Cup game at Wembley on Friday 11th October and also the Wycombe v Torquay match the following day. If you book early you can get some very good hotel deals.

High Wycombe is a good place to get to Wembley from by train. There are plenty of Chiltern Line trains direct to Wembley Stadium station. It's also quicker getting away afterwards rather than queuing for the tube.

The 2 best deals currently are the Holiday Inn by the M40 junction (£45 per room) & the Travelodge in the town centre (£24 per room). These are very competitive advance rates but will inevitably go up nearer to October.

A good opportunity to watch two games in less than 24 hours.

Thanks for this, Andy - well worth thinking about and getting booked in. It will be a bit like having the hors d'oeuvres on the Friday night and the main course on Saturday! Good luck to Wycombe for the new season ....... 'cept on October 12th !! Cheers !

I'll go to Adams Park but there's no way you'd catch me within a million miles of an England game (unless they were playing Austria of course). ;-)

Cheers for the post anyway.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
