They should both go. What they said was appalling, and as a point of comparison was far worse than Ron Atkinson. She's risen to be a Premier League linesman, does anyone really think she doesn't know the offside law? When I saw the transcript of the conversation I thought it was a joke, but hearing the video, they're actually serious. How anyone can think she's incapable of learning a 150 word law because of her sex is actually beyond me. These were comments made before the game too, before they'd even seen her officiate, but they'd already judged her as not good enough because of it. Egg on their faces when she had an excellent game and got the big call for the goal spot on.

But now her name is everywhere and she's under huge pressure every time she's out there. When she makes a mistake, as all officials do every single game, she's going to come in for extra criticism because two cavemen impersonators couldn't keep their bigoted drivel to themselves and turned her career into a media storm. The subsequent videos that have leaked of Grays and Keys show them as two lecherous, members of the boys club who don't want their cosy little world to end. The video of Keys trying to cosy in with Redknapp, Gullit and Souness is cringeworthy to watch.

Although the less savoury side is that Gray is suing the NOTW (Murdoch owned) over phone hacking, and then all this is leaked out to the press (Murdoch owned) piece by piece. Old 'off camera' moments from months ago being leaked the day after this breaks...? Looks like a stitch up job, but it doesn't change anything - it might be their rope but he hung himself.

The people really annoying me about this are those suggesting it's either a) 'banter' or b) 'PC gone mad'. Both terms for which users should be labelled as an utter moron regardless of circumstances - but belittling someone based on their sex, behind their back, when you know nothing about them isn't 'banter' (a two way thing between friends) or 'PC gone mad'. How in a million years can someone qualified and merited for a position, just going about their job, be labelled as 'political correctness' I don't know, but if you believe that then you need to engage your brain and have another try.

They should have been sacked years ago for being rubbish commentators. Andy Gray in particular has spent almost 2 decades spouting uninformed crap about players, teams, and rules. Most of the time during their commentaries they get offside calls completely wrong, but because they are (or have been, heh) *only* media people they're allowed to do so without consequences. It's people like that (and there are others, Alan Green I'm looking at you) who create pressure for referees and linsemen by villifying every single small decision that is made.

Thank God for that. I thought I was the only one. I found their massive over analysis the most boring thing ever thought up, it usually cued a visit to the bog for a longish visit, then the fridge for a beer then a flick through the other channels until the second half started.

Oh ok, since you bought him up and I haven't told this story on here for at least a week...

Alan Green is a ****, end of. Gives it all the bollocks about 'We don't just want to hear from Premier League fans, lower league supporters are invited to call in too.' So, having listened to him orgasm over the performance of the Big Four for an hour or so (I think a combined total of £400,000,000,000 of striker had managed 2 goals between them, truly newsworthy) I called in with a whinge about how useless Lee Thorpe was. Got to the end of my rant and did I get even a comment from that ignorant prick? Did I ****. He couldn't move onto the next call fast enough. Surprise surprise it was some wanker wanting to whinge about how Arsenal had only been awarded 14 penalties that afternoon so clearly the referee was a Man Utd supporter.
