come back austrianandygull.

Post by chunkygull »

come back andy. :'( please.

the forum has been far too quiet without austrianandygulls contributions.

whether people like it or not, whether you did or didnt find andys topics or posts interesting, agreeable or to your tastes, whether his matchday threads were not your cup of tea or you found them too long, everybody must agree the forum has not been the same without him.

andy started a lot of threads about a variety of topics, now i know many are just interested in football and had no interest in these but i have to say i really liked a lot of them. many of these last season brought a bit of welcome relief from reading and writing about our truly dreadful football circumstances.

there have been a few on here who have said they miss his posts and it is quieter, others have described the bloke they have met, all complimentary things.

some have said he should stay off the forum because he cant take a bit of banter or mild criticism which is fair enough but i have noticed there are a few people who get a bit narky on here at things which really shouldnt bother them.

i have never met andy, i dont know him at all. all i do know is i have enjoyed a bit of banter with him on here, i really liked a lot of his threads and posts, especially his matchday threads and there were quite a few things as well as our club he seemed quite knowledgable and passionate about. i really enjoy this forum and it has been much quieter without him, he seems like quite a heart on sleeve, principled kind of guy.

its been over 2 weeks since he deleted his account and if it is just people on the forum upsetting him or pi$$ing him off that made him do it then hopefully after a break he can and will come back.

if he doesnt want to, then fair enough, i just hope he knows there are people on here who enjoyed his stuff and wish him all the best.
You are my torquay, my only torquay, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know, just, how much i love you, so don't take my torquay away.

....... AND SO SAY ALL OF US !! This Forum is poorer for not having Andy's contributions. He raises good threads that provoke discussion. We may not agree with him all of the time, but he is greatly missed. So if you're reading this, Andy, please come back. Surely you must have some useless snippet of information about the town of Northampton to keep us amused?

Andy has not deleted his account. His account is still active - he is choosing to not log on.

Given his recent comments on a social media site, I think he is rather enjoying the break away.

If people are finding the site boring why not create your own talking points. Play devils advocate and throw out viewpoints even if you disagree with what you are saying....if nothing else it will create debate!!

sorry, i read somewhere he had deleted his account or it had been deactivated or something, and im sure he disappeared from the members list. i see he is on there now :-/ .

the forum isnt boring at all, i spend loads of time everyday reading absolutely everything on here, its just whether you like his stuff or not, some of andys various threads were either, funny, clever or were just an interesting read.

the thing thats missing at the moment is the volume of different subjects. in the last 2 days we seem to have been stuck on 2 or 3 subjects and going around in circles and its been getting a bit narky on 1 of them.

i post on subjects i can add to, or the fun stuff on the popside, but obviously i dont have the imagination of our austrian compadre. i prefer to let others start off threads then i contribute if i can. but then again, whether anyones bothered or not i started this one.

its just the fact that a few this past week or so have mentioned that it is quiet without andy so i thought i would start a thread

to be honest a lot of threads i would have been interested in starting have already been done.

Andy is simply taking a much-needed break, as all of us bi-polar sufferers need to do from time to time (well that's always my excuse at least). Like the terminator, he'll be back.. :-D

Ok , I guess you're right Matt. :'(

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
