An absolute bargain that and if you thought Michu was the deal of the season last then watch this lad fly this season. Tricky, scores goals and just what Stoke need, i'm very excited to be seeing one of the stars of our national side in action on match of the day from now on.
psh, you had Paul Scharner at Wigan for ages. Does he not count?
Yes he counts Happy, as did Emmanuel Pogatetz when he played for Boro and Andreas Weimann now at Villa and the desperately poor Stefan Maierhofer at Wolves! Oh, and Bobby Olejnik but he hasn't quite made it to the Prem yet. :~D
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
Think carefully about the praise you're giving this new winger Andy. As I could put him in my fantasy football team on your advice and your head would be on the line!
Perhaps not the same impact as Michu but if he can get his head right then he will certainly be an excellent acquisition for Stoke and give them some much needed creativity. One thing is for sure, the Stokies aren't going be watching hoofball this season under Hughes.

Austria v Ireland on Tuesday night in the Prater. Must win for both teams essentially, can't wait for this one and symbolically the last time we qualified for a major tournament outright was France 98 when we beat Sweden in Vienna with a 30 yard thunderbolt from Andreas Herzog. We beat Sweden this campaign too - could be an omen? IMMER WIEDER OSTERREICH!!!!

Slovakia are now out of contention after losing 2-1 at home to Bosnia. They had about as kind a draw as they could have possibly had (Greece, Bosnia, Latvia, Lithuania) but haven't played well at all. A 1-0 win in Bosnia on Friday gave them a slither of hope, but after going 1-0 up tonight they couldn't get the double. Greece and Bosnia will finish 1 and 2.

Absoultely, i'm over the moon! If we beat Sweden next game game we more or less have second place (we have Faroes away last game and Swedes have Germany at home), a draw would take it to the last game. Exciting times for us and but no doubt if we got a play off spot we'd get the hardest draw like last time when we got Turkey and Ireland got Latvia or someone.

I don't know about that. In years to come it'll be a great story to tell down the pub. How many people can say they've played in a team that has lost against San Marino ?
It should keep Billy in free beer for life as he regales people with the old tale of how he was not only present at a game that San Marino won, but actually part of the losing side
Salzburg slam 4 past hapless Swedes Elfsborg without reply in Europa League. Soriano hat trick too! We're up and running ladies and gents!

Err, it's finished Dave. We've already won so :na:
