worst films ever
couldnt find another thread on this subject, so here goes.
put as many as you like, we can then see if we agree.- many film critics talk rubbish. many films that they slag off, normal people actually like. im not overly critical of films so -
im only going to kick off with one -
DONNIE DARKO - oh, i hated this film, bored the pants off me, so many raved about it, all saying it was great. i dont mind some weird stuff, but i just didnt get it, i barely got through it.

the blair witch project. a waste of money to watch at the flicks and about as scary as the magic roundabout and not even remotely as well made.
a dire "film" from start to finish - and I use that term losely.

agreed, after all that hype and build up, it was awful. everybody kept saying "we have to go and see it, it looks great". a big crowd of us went, and everybody as they left basically said "what a load of b0ll0ck$".
i understood what it was about and what was going on, i got it, but it was just $h1t. i remember leaving the cinema calculating about how much that crap had just cost including concessions etc ( i did the concession stand then, and i didnt wait until "super saver tuesday", i wasnt so tight, me and 'er were courting at the time) and how i had just wasted over 2 hours of my life.
i have actually got it on dvd, the wife bought it at a car boot, i keep meaning to watch it again one day to give it another go and see if i missed something, but i just cant bring myself to.
christ ive just realised its 14 years old.

def by temptation - this was a truly awful attempt to cross horror with the hood/gagsta genre which was popular at the time. truly, truly awful.
the spirit - looked sooooo promising, the idea, the style, the poster/dvd cover, samuel l jackson, it was made by the team that did the hugely popular sin city and in the same style - but it was absolute b0ll0cks, i barely got through it. my lad keeps spotting it at car boot sales and he says "get that dad it looks really good", i just give the seller a knowing look, snap my fingers at my lad and say come away boy, come away, and hurry him off before any more damage can be done.
freddy got fingered - no, not a documentary about my mate/idol mr mercury
, one of those gross out comedy type things which were really popular from the mid 90's to the early noughties. i like most of those type of films like me myself and irene, theres something about mary etc, but this one, this one though went way too far, it was just vile, awful, disgusting, pointless and virtually unwatchable, another one you see at car boots a lot.
catwoman - there was a huge clamour for this film back in about 1992, because michelle pfeiffer looked absolute filth in the costume playing catwoman in batman returns (i prefer my women a bit bigger built, but she was dirt). thanks to this, one of the best ever and popular fancy dress outfits was spawned. anyway this all led to major spin off rumours and demand of a catwoman film, starring filthy pfeiffer, it didnt happen.
it took years before the film was actually made and alas mucky michelle wasnt at her previous catwoman standard, so they got a right babe in halle berry ( damn straight i would) to play the character. so ensued the worst superhero movie ever, worse than captain invincible. now i love my superhero films but i could barely watch this i even felt sorry for the actors. even halle looking well do-able and showing a fair bit of flesh in a not bad outfit (but not as good as michelle's) apart from the headgear (no puns) couldnt save it. awful.
twilight 2 - the first one wasnt too bad, an intriguing new take on the vampire genre even, then it got blown up way out of proportion of how good it actually was, the hype increased, the main character for some reason i cannot fathom became the object of desire for teenage girls everywhere. the sequel was nowhere as good as the first, in fact it was downright boring and utter rubbish, 3 times i tried to watch it and each time fell asleep and had to start again, i got through it, but it was terrible. i havent bothered with the rest of them since.

Open Water. Ma insisted that we went to see it, so we did. Two hours of watching two people bob up and down in a tank of water while precious little happened, then, in the last 30 seconds, they get eaten by a shark. As revenge, a number of years later, I insisted that she'd really like Die Hard 4.0...

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

jonah hex - sweet baby jesus, this film was terrible, bordering on unwatchable, it just did not work.
despite what should have been a good film and a good idea it was a borefest of the highest order. the character was a reasonably successful comic book hero, the film had that little minx megan fox (although she cant act), josh brolin played jonah hex, brolin is a good solid actor who has got better with age, his turn as a young version of tommy lee jones's character agent in men in black 3 was sublime.
if anyone asks you if you want to watch jonah hex then punch them in the face or kick them in the nads and run for the hills.

ive got it, worst ever, total shambles, utter bollocks, shhheeehhhiiitte.
BEWITCHED - now dont get me wrong i love some of will ferrells stuff, old school, taledega nights, he makes me laugh my ass off, however this film was an abomination, an insult to a gnats intelligence. i remember the 1960's original series being shown on channel 4 years ago along with i dream of jeannie ( and i did  ) not bad teatime or summer holiday viewing, typically american stuff, but gentle, likeable viewing. elizabeth mongomery epitomised what the yanks call cute (but very attractive). a decent enough silly, fun show. good, clean and wholesome as they say.
the film made in 2005, although not a remake or a sequel it wasnt even really a reboot either, i understood what it was meant to be, but that actually made it worse. nicole kidman wasnt even in the same league as elizabeth montgomery, im not sure she was trying to be, all i do know is, i dont know why they bothered.
this was just rotten to the core, all copies of the film, memorabillia, scripts, any trace of it ever existing should be placed in a rocket ship, sent into space, the rocket then blown up, so that all traces of this film can be scattered in space and across the universe and hopefully erased from memory.

Come on now. It was crap. I usually quite like Jason Statham films but this was awful. No storyline, acting so wooden they'd have been better off hiring the Great Horse of Troy, crappy stunts, complete lack of chemistry between the two leads.Southampton Gull wrote:Don't talk daft man.
I mean, I like mindless fun as much as the next chap but it was so bad it made Death Race look like a Scorsese film.

If you want a serious film with a serious plot and serious actors you wouldn't tune into a Statham film would you? For what it was I thought it was good and also that Russian bird is hot

Fast and Furious 436. I know they haven't made it yet but it's only a matter of time.
Also films that have about a million of them like I've just mentioned above. Two maybe three at a push if it's REALLY good like the Indiana Jones trilogy (I don't count the 4th as it was utter boll*cks). After that you're flogging a dead horse, may as well go and have a dump or something.
