They've planned it this way to try and get him to be here for the play-offs should we make it. ![Clap ](./images/smilies/clap.gif)

This guy has been a regular for them this season, so it's intersting to see we actually manage to sign somebody who gets regualr football!

How? I'm not disputing what you say, but how does a 28 day loan mean he'll be here for the play-offs? Why haven't we just signed him on a season long loan?Southampton Gull wrote:They've planned it this way to try and get him to be here for the play-offs should we make it.

No idea how the loan system works out but the reasoning was given that this is the only way we can keep him for that length of time. You know more about the loan rules than me mate.

Bit of an odd signing, wouldn't have said that centre midfield was somewhere we would be looking for.
From what I remember he's a bit of a box to box midfielder, plenty of energy and strong in the tackle, and I remember him scoring a well taken goal on the break when we got beat there last season. Could this represent a shift in formation, with a Stanley/Mansell partnership in the centre and O'Kane out wide? Wroe on the move perhaps?
I'm hoping SG's prophecy of more movement is true. Still think we need more options up front.
Welcome to TQ1 anyway Craig!

The topic itself.
They ARE NOT 'appy.
Seems like he is a bit of a Lee Mansell midfield general.

Well that has bucked me up - they're really cut up about this!
Trouble is - why only one month?
The bit I liked was "at least he can play his football on the ground down there" - perhaps we shall see a real foil for Lee Mansell in centre mid, unlike the lethargic NW.
