Lots of positives from the weekend...
Poke on the bench
Azeez is the real deal
Scored 2 good goals
Scored our second after the opposition equalized
We wore our delightful pale yellow shirts again
Relatively short coach ride home for the team
could go on...

At the kerb halt - look right - look left -look right again - if all clear quick march!

I love the optimism, keep it up, things will get better. Unless you're being sarcasticWisconsin_gull wrote:Lots of positives from the weekend...

Here are a few more positives -
1. We won't have to put up with the sight of Fatty Evans gracing the hallowed Plainmoor turf this season (unless, God forbid, we're drawn against Rovverham in the Cup)
2. Unlike Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal etc etc, I can turn up five minutes before kick off and go through the turnstile without having to queue. I also have time for a quick chat with the bloke on the turnstile.
3. Unlike Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal etc etc, we play football at the right time - 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon. None of this Saturday or Sunday lunchtime or evening kick off nonsense. This is very important to us old gits because we get our days and times muddled up. But we can cope with a regular 3pm on a Saturday afternoon.
4. We're going to get six points from our next three games .....

Oi Oi ladies and gents Mansfield are down tomorrow (a team that sound like a gay bar? still not as bad as man city...)
Who's feeling positive about the game tomorrow?
We can field a proper back four this week we have Azeez firing em' in AND England are off to Brazil
So a much better week already and i'm backing the Gulls to grab a 1-0 win!
I know you will all get behind the lads tomorrow and sign us home!

Tomorrow will be a splendid game.
Not felt quite so positive for a long while
We are only 11pts off the playoff and tomorrow will be the start of one of our legendary 7 game unbeaten runs
No heavy lace up leather footballs to worry about tomorrow, no snow in the forecast, all our internationals back from duty
Think a 3-1 is on the cards
Can hardly wait!

If you want a positive from today's abysmal game, it's that Mansfield are 3 points off top of the league. There is no way they were the better side today, so that says to me that it's not inconceivable that once (if!) we get it to click, we could string together a couple of results and pull ourselves clear

Also if you look at the top half of the league we've played most of the sides!Jeff wrote:If you want a positive from today's abysmal game, it's that Mansfield are 3 points off top of the league. That's the spirit Lucy!
As soon as we start the positive thread our fortunes ever so slowly (imperceptibly) start to change...
-First point in a month
-Clean sheet feels like a win
-Bodin hit the post
-Ben Harding will be back next week :-|
-1/4 way through the season and we are gelling
-Great November to look forward to full of 6 pointers (Bury, Accrington, Argyle)
Feeling good for the mid week game - we always do ok away to Burton. Can we get Danny Stevens back on loan for one game? :ping:

Great to read the positive comments, all we can do is support our team with all our might and find the positives, and believe in the gulls!
Where is Stevens now?
