Like an idiot I didn't realise that this game was all-ticket and have left it too late. I now have a disappointed lad on my hands :-(. Does anyone know of any way of getting a couple? Presumably it's not sold out....

Spot the away fan trying to sneak in to the home end.

Provided you don't do anything stupid (like turn up in a Pompey shirt), if you can get a ticket in the home end, you'll be fine. Stick with the Family Stand, since people on the Pop are a bit more set in their ways about newcomers (nothing personal, just it's a terrace and people like to stand where people like to stand and new people stealing spaces is pretty poor form).

Best of luck in your search.

Matt.

I wondered why I was getting funny looks when I stood in the pop for my first ever games at Plainmoor v Vale and Crewe at the back end of Lings first season!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Thanks for the tips Matt but I really am a Tq fan! I'd really prefer to be in the family stand (my kid is 9). The problem is that there are 'no tickets available on the day'. I was wondering how seriously that was enforced...

Have you been on the moon for the last 10 weeks? If you haven't, I hope you don't have a job where people might rely upon you for anything at all, and God forbid you get your hands on a driving licence.

Matt.

Louis, we need a wider selection of smilies, there isn't one here which conveys both my wide eyed amazement at Nev's hopelessness and startling ability to miss the glaringly obvious, and a sense that I might not be being wilfully cruel to the bloke.

We need to get behind the lads tomorrow. Yes, we all don't feel like singing when we're playing so crap, but that has got to go at the back of our minds tomorrow. If we do our job by getting behind the players, then that's all we can do, its all down to the players then. What a good message it would be to the Pompey fans tomorrow, if even though we are down, we are still there singing away for our team. The Pompey fans may be louder than us because of the amount of their fans singing and they have better acoustics in the stand they’re in, BUT THAT DOESNT MATTER!! WE NEED TO BE THERE SINGING ALL GAME TO GET BEHIND THE BOYS NO MATTER WHAT!! WITH THE DRUM LEADING US, WE CAN DO IT!! COME ON TORQUAY, COME ON UNITED FANS, LET’S GET IT GOING!!!!!!

I do have quite a responsible job actually that occasionally, sadly distracts me from my study of TUFC ticketing arrangements. And of course I have a license... In fact I'm driving at right n

Torquay United boss Alan Knill told BBC Radio Devon:
"I always look at Portsmouth as a real big club - they're the biggest club in the league, the best-supported and it's a big game.
"We want to win more than anything. If we can compete then we'll give ourselves a chance."

I had thought that we might get a draw, as Portsmouth also have a few injuries. Not very happy reading that Knill thinks that competing will only give us a chance. FFS if the manager does not believe that competing will win us the game, or at least get us a draw, then what must the players think!

Not sure if I have a problem with this one from Knill? He is simply saying if we turn up on the day then we will have a chance on getting a result?

a postponement is the best we can hope for!!

2134 torquay fans, 1800 pompey, lose 1-4, i'll be out drinking again, hunting down the belgian blue and the lure of the 39th sheffield camra beer festival outweighs another incompetent display by tufc!!

on the plus side the programme actually arrived on tuesday for the first time this season, and i'm pretty certain there's a picture of our own austrianandy within its pages!! has this been mentioned before on here??!!
still keeping the faith

Yeah that's me Bix talking to Taxilady and stood next to Ben. There was about 15 of us sporadically placed making a noise amongst the 200 or so at Wycombe.

We were stood at the back so we could bang the advertising hoardings to use as a drum.

I look a real bell end too. Slightly effeminate actually. :'(

Now go back and read this statement word for word, break down into bite sized chunks if you need, then you might understand that AK has clearly said, we want to win, and if we compete, we give ourselves a chance, yes of winning, because that's clearly what he means.

You wanna knock the booze on the head for a bit Bix, you'll end up like Gaz in Leeds! He seems to get hammered every night the lucky bast*rd!

Although the fine camra Sheffield beer festival is too much to turn down.
