I can see why you are upset, MidDevon, but the club is now under a more forward thinking regime thankfully, so why not give us another chance?

I must say I find the comment about 'crap support' to be a tad uncalled for.

If we cast our eyes 8 miles south-east we can see the floodlights at Manchester City, 8 miles to the south west and we can see the lights at Old Trafford, so I think it's fair to say that it's not easy to attract people to Gigg Lane don't you?

...and also, Bury's support isn't much different to ours and they have certainly been a lot more successful than us. Incredible to think not too long ago, they were in the Championship, whilst Man City were in League 1.

Shortest name and I remember playing them when Neville Southall was at the start of his career with them. Never minded Bury. Any club who does as they do, with all those big clubs on the doorstep deserve a bit of respect.

MidDevon I think is still hurting BFC.

He should really be having a pop at clubs in our league who have delusions of grandeur like Northampton and Chesterfield who would think nothing at charging us £22 to get in their lego stadia.

I'm looking forward to visiting your club as I've never been before and so it is a new experience and a new ground. If it's anything like Rochdale I'm sure i'll enjoy myself but if it's anything like Accrington i'm sure I won't!

You had a good win at Wycombe at the weekend with the 'Jepson effect' and I hope it doesn't continue. :na:

Prior to that though you were in really poor form and we should be going up there to get the three points no offence. It's all a bit of guesswork at the minute. If you know of any places to park, eat, drink, shop and have a bet near to Gigg Lane then i'd be most grateful.

What are your views on Knill returning?

Although, I have to confess, I call them 'Berry' rather than 'Burry'. Not sure which is correct. I have the same issue with Shrewsbury. Too me it should be Shrew as in the creature, rather than Shrow but I think locals say the latter.

Well i'm a Yorkshireman and we say BERRY but I believe the Lancastrians call them BURRY as does much of the population. It's just Yorkies, we're a bit weird.

The nearer to Manchester you get the more it becomes 'Berry' is a rough way of working it out, hector really.

Don't lose sleep over it though, nobody is too precious about it!

The best place to park for me is on St. Peter's Road, which is just off the A56 Manchester Road virtually opposite the Swan & Cemetery pub - just don't dare pinch my spot, OR ELSE!!!

Town centre is fairly close (15 minute walk) for food and drink in abundance,and if shopping is your pleasure then bring your plastic! There is a good choice of shops and a market too.
Swan & Cemy is a great place too, but can get rammed before the game.
A lot of good boozers have shut near the ground in recent times sadly.

I've nothing against Knill, he's a good coach and he did a good job for us, don't think he will get a warm welcome due to the timing of his departure though.

Conversely I used to live in Huddersfield where they called them BURRY, whilst my mother who is from Oldham calls them BERRY. So who knows, lets just call them the Shakers..........
