Tisdale to Portsmouth?
According to Sky Sports, Paul Tisdale has been interviewed for the Portsmouth job. Personally I think this wouldn't be a good move for him but if it means a decline in fortunes for our neighbours then I hope he leaves and takes a few players with him. If he does go and makes a success of it then obviously he'll be in charge of a potential PL club however he will be under immense pressure if he's not successful over the next 2/3 years .. That's of course if he gets that long.

He's turned down plenty of better offers. He'd be nuts to go there. He's a decent manager, no doubt, but I think he knows that no other club will be anywhere near as tolerant of his, ,apparently, dire but sometimes effective football.
Add to this that he's only really proven to fail beyond L2 level (like it or not, ECFC get big enough crowds etc to support L1 football) and he would seem an idea choice for us (we'll put up with any old shit football and we aren't expecting anything other than bottom half L2 every year), he wouldn't be an especially wise choice fora club which will have designs on back to back [to back?] promotions with little or no fuss.
Matt.

If he does leave the scum, and I sincerely hope he does, then there is a great candidate to replace him. Lives nearby too. Alan Knill.

Fancy him to land this opportunity. Lack of funds and growing hostility to him from Greek fans, will surely make this too good an opportunity to turn down,if offered position.
