The Herald are saying he won't be replaced directly, and others will step up:

I read into the fact that that Brass won't be replaced as meaning one of two things

1 - The club don't have any funds available to bring In a replacement or

2 - The board have their doubts about the future of Alan Knill so don't want to commit money on a replacement until a bit more time has passed and they decide enough is enough and get rid of Knill or hopefully Saturday's win is the start of a run to see us start climbing up the league to such an extent they become confident that Knill will turn it round and they therefore are happier to support him by bringing in a replacement.

This would seem to be the case, as they have not paid for him loan any more players for at least a week!!

Or perhaps it's because the loan window has shut.

This has just reminded me...

Our loanees, with the departure of Brass, are all in grave jeopardy and it may well go a distance to explaining the reasons behind our not appointing a replacement.

Made a note in my diary on the way here. Simply says: "Bugger."

It's extremely likely that the cost of our loanees is about to go from zero to much, much more than zero. If you're looking for an investment, buy shares in Torquay hotels.

Eh?? C'mon Matt - I know it's the time of the year for Christmas riddles but please elucidate (in easy GCSE English) why Chris Brass' departure should have anything remotely to do with the cost of our loanees ?? :(

No idea. Does he live in Sidmouth at the moment?
