Well that will just make it easier for us to jump Mansfield as we go flying up the table.

Damn Blast and sauage dogs. Accy equalize and we drop a place. Well at least we are out of the relegation spot. Now we need to build on that.
All the others will now be nervous watching us as we climb and they drop into the mire.

It's a tight as a ducks arse now at the bottom with a couple of points separating about 10 teams. Mental. Just shows what a couple of wins can do.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Great win. Not pretty at all, but no absence of grit and determination. Completely different level of performance from the last game I saw.

Out plate for much of the second half when we were under the cosh, but first half was more even. Plenty of positive performances.

Not out of the woods yet, but shoots of positivity are beginning to poke through.

I don't have a problem with Accy winning today. Mansfield are sh*te with a capital S, and I fancy them for the drop.

To be honest I am too over the moon about winning today to worry much about other teams. Well done to the team and manager today, an excellent win.

never mind the other results, we have to do this ourselves, we now have to make the home games count, lets hope for a good crowd on boxing day and show the rovers fans and our players that we are in this together. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Cheers for that Jeff! :-D

Can I just start by handing immense credit to Alan Knill first of all. He has had some intolerable criticism levelled at him this season and IMO completely warranted in the main and he has ridden the storm with fans calling for his head especially during the 2 week match-free window we had recently. There was no hiding place, a win against Southend was a must as was at least a draw today. Well he has managed better than that with back to back wins and back to back clean sheets and therefore I wish to thank him and congratulate him for this success. I'm not apologising for past comments as I have said before, I think most were deserved and he certainly has a long way to go yet to win the fans round but by hook or by crook we are now in a much stronger position going into Christmas and I thank Alan Knill for this and give him great credit for resilience.

In addition I must give my full appreciation for the work that each player did out there today on the pitch. As Jeff said, we may have rode our luck and on another day who knows but I don't give two sh*ts now how we play, I just want points at all costs. The time has now gone for developing and testing. We can do that in the summer. Now is the time for pure grit and grinding out points at all costs and we've done that these past 2 games and despite a 91st minute leveller from Cowdenbeath costing me some Xmas money, I'm still skint, I'm still getting hammered tonight and I'm still over the f*cking moon that we have won today. Thankyou so much lads for today!

Finally a superb round of applause for all the yellow army that made the journey today, I'm sure most of you have poor to average paid jobs and it took a chunk of your money to make the trip so hats off all round to you all. I'm sure you made loads of noise and I was just sad to be stuck at home watching the forum where only about 10 of us seemed to give a sh*t that we even had a game! You guys made the effort to get to the game in cold blustery conditions in the cesspit of greater London surrounded by Danny Dyers and yet there are members on here sat at home behind a keyboard who can't even be bothered to post any words of encouragement or even acknowledge we had a massive game today. Absolutely pathetic.

Well done today you lot in the stands and I'm sure you will have enjoyed the game and got your rewards.

I'd say that a corner has now been turned and if we don't kick on from here and go on another appalling run of form it won't be the end of the world as there are some appalling teams in and around us hence the tight nature of the table but another bad run would erode confidence once again and it would be a tragedy to waste this positive period.

BLOODY HELL WE WON!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

MASSIVE, MASSIVE WIN!!! I was also astonished at the Accrington result but as said above, we cannot worry about anyone else and just have to focus on the games ahead. One look at the table shows you that just as you can get out of trouble one defeat can see you sucked back in, it is ridiculously tight. The main thing for us is, we're out of the bottom two for Christmas and also head into some huge games full of confidence - go back just over a week and I wouldn't have fancied anything from Rovers, City or Argyle but we're well and truly in the race. I just hope Marquis can continue his form without picking up a yellow until at least the Morecambe game. I also think the turnaround in form can be put down to the return of Bodin, the change in formation, Mozika getting fitter and Poke returning in goal. Also Downes and O'Connor getting more games together is starting to bear fruit. I can't wait for Boxing Day COYY!!! :scarf:

Good post Andy (Yes, I'm still around LOL) But can people not get carried away during the current success with comments like Saint and/or Sir Alan already. I know that we are all 'over the moon', but let's wait until we are mid table..I will then personally write to the Queen/Pope
