Just got home!
Excellent win. This was only the second game I've seen this season (Plymouth was the other) and I don't think we look like a relegation side. Played some good football for 70 minutes then defended well - with a bit of luck. Well done the team and fans - who were quite quiet first half but loud second half.

Because I was at home. :~D
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

well said andy, a lot on here have been on knillys back for a long time and rightly so but come on credit where its due, thats 6 points from two tough games, and well done billy bodin, sounds like he played well, if we are to criticise when the chips are down then lets give credit when its due, well done to all today including the fans. lets hope for a cracker om boxing day and set things up nicely for the visit of the scumbags up the road. :scarf: :scarf:

Knill seems to be here for the long haul, and we know there is a good manager in there, we have had injuries which have disrupted our season.

They are no behind us and we seem to be building forward.

A good xmas period and we can all breathe a bit easy, however this is Torquay so there will be plenty more ups and downs.

On my way home so will keep this brief.

Absolutely delighted with that, very resilient and gritty win, the change of formation has suited us perfectly. You can see a very strong team spirit coming to the fore. We defended heroically for long periods and looked like we could break effectively if for a slightly better final ball.

Bodin's return has given us an extra sparkle, whilst the 3 man midfield has garnered improved performances from Mozila, Mccourt and Mansell, Marquis is top quality.

The table looks a much more pleasant sight this evening on the back of 2 excellent results. I have been as guilty as anyone for writing off this season, and AK in particular so I would like to commend the manager for taking the abuse on the chin, stopping the rot and getting us out of the bottom two. There is a long way to go but there is an air of positivity on the back of these 2 wins so lets try and keep it with us- especially with some very winnable games on the horizon.

Well done all, 3 points is a fantastic early Christmas present!

Did we sing any tribute 'Saah will tear you apart' songs today and did he get a good reception from us lot?

Did Knill show any emotions at the end, and did he applaud the fans.

Atmosphere wasn't the best today, so Saah didn't get any attention (either positive or negative) that I could hear

A fantastic result on a real winters day.

It is so good to hear that the team spirit was very noticeable. I thought so against Southend and in my view this is a critical factor.

Well done the lads and Alan Knill. Now for Exeter! They have lost 8 times this season only 2 less than us despite our awful start.

So looking forward to Boxing Day. Remember K O 1 pm. Plainmoor will be rocking!!
