Gaffer Gone Quiet ??

Post by Regiment »

in amongst the rumours and confirmed "problems" from last night, it seems Bucks has gone unusually quiet. No post-match comments etc.

is it just a case of getting his head down with the squad to work on preparing for the next game, or could he be avoiding saying anything at all so as not to comment on things other than the football itself ??

just seems a bit unusual (maybe even out of character) to me.

I don't think he'll go, or rather I don't want him too, but I certainly wouldn't blame him for having a serious think about how he's going to deal with this and what steps he wants to take next.

feels like a case of "it never rains..............." for all of us, so i guess it would be the right thing for him to step back and take a breather.

hopefully he can rally the players and move on quickly, lots of important points to play for in the coming weeks.

Bucks had gone quiet probaby as they sort out a course of action for the unregisteredplayergate.

I can also imagine hsi lack of enthusiasm for last night was probably aided by that. Whats the point, we're going to lose the points anyway.

I hope common sense prevails. Torquay have to be punished, but a fine and a warning should be suffice seeing as though Hereford won the game anyway.

As mentioned elsewhere, he offered his resignation and left the ground fuming. He's now spending some well-earned time with his family so I'm sure we can all support him and allow him some time to collect his thoughts.

I was pissfully unaware of the events happening behind the scenes last night and was not one of those who shamelessly booed the team at the end of the match.

We've had a wretched four days, sh*t happens, it comes with the package called TUFC.

I'm hoping this bad run called the sh*ts passes through the system quickly and any sore arses are back to normal on Saturday.

Brentford have just sacked their gaffer. I wonder if any noises are being made behind the scenes currently?

That would be the perfect end to the perfect week. Would not blame him if they were interested would you!

Was about to say exactly that. Brentford though - one of his old clubs, and in a location he'd probably find appealing.

Where Leroy tread... ;-)

I have to say that of all the jobs Bucks has been "linked" with, the Brentford one would be the most appealing I would think. An ex player of theirs, a higher League, a decent squad, a decent (fingers crossed) chance of a Wembley appearance in the JPT final and of course it's much nearer to "home" and where his partner is based.

Given the events of the past week, I would quite frankly be amazed if Bucks didn't jump at the chance if he was offered it and in all honesty I think the time may be right for him. He has done an excellent job here on a very limited budget and I sense may be at the stage of his career where he wants to challenge himself at the next level - much like Elliot Benyon will be doing. I would hope that the club wouldn't stand in his way, of course we should expect some compensation, but if he wants to go, then he should be allowed to.

totally agree with you guys. i'm from london, and have a few brentford supporters as mates, and as soon as news hit about andy scott, we all thought the same thing.

it would be a real shame if bucks' last involvement with TUFC was the events of Tuesday night. love him or hate him, he's done well for this club, and has brought a sense of honesty and determination to the role, and would deserve a decent send off if he was to move onto pastures new.

lets just hope after a couple of days reflecting on tuesday's circus, and getting back in with the squad, he's cleared his head and is now more determined than ever to salvage something from the season.

and lets get behind him and the players on saturday, and get things moving in the right direction again.
