I wouldn't have thought so, he had a release clause of £175k, so they wouldn't have paid more than that. Unless a sell-on was included in the release clause then we'll get nothing else.

I heard ling gave us 10% in the contract but so we could waver the £50,000 for CH we "emended" the deal so now we get basically nothing
Only what I heard from a mate that is close to the team

well GS if you actually read the link looks like we get 15% on any profit made, if the a few prem clubs interested wouldn't surprise me if he went for £3-£5 million either way that would be a 6figure sum for us!

Always thought he was a potential Premiership player.

The figures being talked about here are pie in the sky. It won't be anywhere near that!

Not really. Bournemouth feel he is one of their top players, they aren't going to let him go on the cheap and they don't need the money.SteveDeckchair wrote:The figures being talked about here are pie in the sky. It won't be anywhere near that!

With the crazy amount of money prem clubs get and the inflated fees which are currently going around it wouldn't surprise me if it was a big figureSteveDeckchair wrote:The figures being talked about here are pie in the sky. It won't be anywhere near that!

I think it will be around £1-2m with rising fees, for international caps for example.

I think this time it will be a substantial (ish) fee. As opposed to leaving us where it was a case of someone with their 1st full season as a starter under their belt, he is now regarded as a regular starter at a Championship club. Much less of a gamble as to him being able to make the step up.SteveDeckchair wrote:The figures being talked about here are pie in the sky. It won't be anywhere near that!

There's competition for his signature, he's at a club who don't want to sell and he's a young, very exciting midfielder. Premiership clubs operate on a different level from the rest of us. Gazzanega for three milion to Premier League Saints over Bobby for 300,000 to L1 Posh. Bobby is the better keeper, so it's nothing to do with talent.
Bournemouth can afford to value him at £3,000,000, they don't want or need to sell. To a PL club, three mil v one mil is nothing, so they'll pay it.
Matt.

I presume we had a sell-on clause when Bobby moved to Posh? Or was it a Santa Claus..?
