Thanks Guys. I did for one small moment think our fans were unsympathetic selfish takers for a while. But you have restored my faith that Most of us have some decency. I Cannot believe anyone would want to come to brucies defense. there is no defense and i have rarely posted anything they disagrees with anyone. So he goes off at a rant that there I go again. I would be sorry to have him among my friends. One day this attitude will permeate further into the club and eventually we will find that when we go to smaller clubs we will be showered and dressed. ready to eat and find no one from the host club will want to know us. How will we feel then. It may even go further. We have parents who bring their kids for training. to academy matches and all sorts of thing. Eventually they will lose faith. in fact some may have already gone that way but we will never know. Players will then avoid us. we will miss out on one or two that may turn out to be decent because a long time in the past someone forgot to show some respect and manners to a visiting club no matter how small they are. ]Brucie. One day you may find you break down on the roadside or are involved in an accident finding yourself stranded. one day you may find no one wants to come to your rescue. Your attitude will have come back to haunt you. If you take enough times and don't give. then eventually you will be found out.
Always Look on the bright side of life

But you don't actually know me at all. You just read some posts on a football forum. Actually you bore the pants of me to be quite honest. You pontificate on everything like the worlds going to end because Tiverton wern't given a fecking pasty each.
We are not going to lose any supporters because Tiverton didn't get fed. You are appear to be completely barking mad - I mean what on earth has me breaking down got to do with someone forgetting to feed Tivertons pub team.
Comparing the matches against Grimsby and Tiverton means nothing either. One game attracted nigh on two and a half thousand and the other attracted about a hundred people.
I appreciate that someone has probably made an oversight by not providing refreshments to Tiverton but its pretty easy to see why this didn't happen. Get over it and move on. It really doesn't matter that much - I mean I know there isn't much football for us to moan about at the moment but really get a grip.

Oh FFS Brucie have you no common decency or courtesy ? How many times does it need to be said. It does not matter if the opposition is Real Madrid or Thurlestone reserves. We should treat the opposition as guests and afford them decent hospitality. It reflects on us a club and and how we would want to be treated. Its that simple. its a shame you cannot understand that simple concept. What a pathetic image and impression we give to other clubs. Who is the professional club in this instance ??

I would echo this. Especially as we were the 'bigger' club, hosting our smaller (but for how long?) neighbours. TIverton don't often play on (ex-) league grounds and this was an opportunity to demonstrate some benevolence and goodwill. In the grand scheme of things, it probably means very little but TUFC have always been perceived as a friendly club and it is a little disappointing that they were unable to show some common courtesy to Tivvy. I doubt anyone posting on this thread (other than Brucie - by his reaction) considers this a major issue. Just a tad disappointing.

I do not want this debate to rage on, not posting this to try and provoke any responses. Just to say I totally agree with what Hector says here " A tad disappointing " sums it up in a nutshell. One final point and just clarify, it is not about the food, I, and probably no else give a monkeys stuff about the fact Tivvy didn't get fed, that's a side issue.

The issue is about how we treat visiting clubs or visiting club official's, regardless of club status they should all be treated the same, end of, no arguing can be done on that point.
