What?? A position at Torquay not more interesting than a permanent contract elsewhere. Who would have thought...

Interestingly, no mention is made of the club in question that he has this new full-time post with. Could it be that TUFC are just too much of a basket-case club to seriously work for?

Why am I not surprised? The club is hoping to find a replacement for Sturrock. But he was the ideal person for the role. He might still be here if the club had offered a proper contract and decent financial incentive. It's clear now that the club didn't do that. No real understanding of professional football and no real business sense. A joke, and a bunch of *******. Or am I being too harsh on them?

Whatever the new job offer; whatever he was(or wasn't) offered at Torquay - you can't ignore a 100% failure rate while he WAS here. Sorry, Paul, you're just not good enough for the club. ![Wink ;-)](./images/smilies/wink.gif)

There are rumours suggesting Yeovil is his destination.

It may be that Sturrock has now realised he would be wasting his time at Plainmoor. And if Chris Hargreaves needs an experienced ex-manager to guide and advise him, and to use contacts (which presumably CH does not have) to acquire new players, then, to put it bluntly, CH should never have been signed as manager. He should have gained his experience as a Conference South manager and worked his way up to being a League manager. At the very least, the fans expect that when a club signs a new manager it should ensure in an objective way that he is capable of doing the job. It's obvious by now that the club didn't do that. One day, with experience, CH may turn out to be an excellent manager. In the meantime, the club appears to be a ship without a captain and a rudder and heading for the rocks.
He still lasted longer than Leroy's second stint here!!
Seriously though, what is happening to this football club?! It's on it's knees already and didn't think it possible that we could sink any lower, but we seem to be plummeting to new depths each and every day!
You couldn't make this stuff up!!
