Consortium update
Well, at least there is one person with serious business experience (Mark Bowen), one who knows about football (Dean Edwards), one who is a very dedicated fan who tells it like it is (Steve Breed). Let us hope that the other 7 are also "gems". One thing that can be said, they have put their money in so - thank you!

So pleased to hear that the situation down there is looking a lot more rosy. Best of luck for the next critical few months and of course for next season and remember, If you can come out the other side of this in one piece then that surely makes you all stronger and united. Torquay United.
Best wishes.
Best wishes.

This is my concern, given one's previous in advantage taking.

Exactly why I won't be buying a season ticket before the takeover is complete!

It depends who chooses the players lets hope Dean does.Scott Brehaut wrote:
Nothing against older players, but I'd prefer some of an age where they may last longer than a game or two....
Why, are some/any of these still available then?arcadia wrote: It depends who chooses the players lets hope Dean does.
Kenny Allen, Paul Holmes, Jim McNichol, Matt Elliott, Phil Lloyd, Tom Kelly, John Morrison, Ian Weston, Mark Loram, Dean Edwards, Jimmy Smith (Daral Pugh).

I do remember Phil Lloyd and Ian Weston as they played for me at Clevedon.RoadGull wrote: Why, are some/any of these still available then?

Possibly not Nick, what DT said was, he's expecting a formal announcement to be made in a press conference Monday, however should this be the case I personally do not see that as problem, and if the takeover is completed today, tomorrow, no doubt news will appear on the fans forums. Also Dean Edwards may have made some suggestions to DT, but Dean Edwards is no more going to, go in to the finer details of this with DT than he is with anyone else, DT is speculating just like us fans.

He's not a Glaswegian....
He must have been adopted.

Beginning to look like this could be true.nickbrod wrote:According to today's HE podcast, recorded yesterday (Wednesday), we're going to have to wait for definite news at a Press Conference on Monday.
We were told 'Thursday or Friday' before good ol' Mr Phillips jetted off for a well-earned holiday. So it's not going to be Thursday, then it must be Friday. But then again we might have to wait until Monday ......nickbrod wrote: Beginning to look like this could be true.
If it's today or Monday, it's going to make little or no difference in the grand scheme of things, relax.
