But he's been out of work since November hasn't he?
Being out of work for 7 months can do strange things to a man. In this case, seemingly wanting to manage Torquay United.
I don't think he would be heavily linked with the job if he wasn't seriously considering the post and had been contacted

He left by mutual consent with the club near the bottom of the league, but not in any real danger of relegation. The Herald Express reports this was after his playing budget was slashed.
