Sanctum
I watched this film over the weekend and I really enjoyed it. It's a very well researched film and being an avid scuba diver myself it really appealed to me and scared me as I've been in short of air situations and with a paniced buddy diver so brought back personal memories that I would dread to face in the film. Was a really clever idea and based on a true story I believe - certainly put me off going caving again (not that I went that far underground!). Not in the cinemas anymore but when it comes out on DVD it's definately worth at least a rent for a night in.

Schindler's List, watched it (again) last night.
The little child in the red coat that hides beneath the bed, then is seen again heaped upon the dead.
A deeply moving, disturbing film that reminds future generations of the tragedy that happened to the Jewish people.
My film rating :

Paul.
Not at the same level as Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, but still quality.
Highly recommended if you like those two above.

King's Speech
Good film , enjoyed it a lot. Geoffry Rush was really good, shame he didn't get recognised at the Oscars.
However we didn't see one peach in the whole film...
My mother keeps sending me clippings from the Hampshire Chronicle about Colin Firth - apparently we were at 6th form college together - damned if I remember him :-o

Matt - the movie title was probably a pretty decent clue...
I would have fallen asleep early doors on this one, only to be woken by the cleaners sweeping up the popcorn

Well, I'd heard about it, the central concept, and watched it on the premise that the idea would be developed, but it wasn't. A typical example of some guys down the pub, having a chat and lobbing ideas about. "Hey, you know what'd be weird, a human centipede" Then they write the movie with feck all idea how they are going to base a story round the original central idea.
I'm finding an ever increasing number of movies in this vein, a really good cardinal idea, just not developed and really, a complete waste.
Matt.

The Eagle.
Really enjoyed it, the story is about the 9th legion, sent north of Hadrians Wall and never heard of again. The son of the Commander of the 9th goes in search of the reasons for their non-return.
Good action scenes and well worth watching.
