="ROADRUNNER" regards to the BOLLOCKS you reckon the herald express printed regards to colin lee, that was not bollocks chunky!, colin lee and mike bateson have both offered their services for free , as regards to steve breed and his busy life im sorry but i also e-mailed him and the club regards to matters at the club and i also recieved NO ANSWER. I Also have tried to call the club all to no avail. this club is going to go under very soon if things arent sorted very quickly.

I can only go by what we are told and as far as I have read the Colin Lee thing was denied. There does seem to be many in the fanbase for one reason or another that are relieved that Lee isnt involved though. As for Steve I particularly meant how busy he has been at the club, it is a huge day to day task and there are very few people with few resources who are trying to tackle it.

However, as I said before I have often found it frustrating to read and indeed quite upsetting that more than few times now on the forums over the past few years stories of people trying to contact the club, whether that be with offers of services to help, donations or just enquiries that their call or email is not returned or offers have fallen on deaf ears, with the old regime particularly and also the current incumbents. Whatever the reasons for this it does need to be sorted out and if offers of help are declined then a bit of transparency as to why wouldnt go amiss.

We must remember though these people at the club are only human and as I alluded do have other priorities as well as TUFC that they are trying to juggle alongside a mammoth task of trying to put TUFC right. Maybe when people try and contact the club they could just keep trying and persist until they get somewhere, things are desparate now and by whatever means neccesary, unorthodox or not, we need to try anything now that can help surely.
You are my torquay, my only torquay, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know, just, how much i love you, so don't take my torquay away.

Hey guys. I don't know who these people are. But one thing i have often found is that people can sling mud when they have an agenda. and they know that even if its not true they know that people will believe it because whether it's true or not. Mud sticks. look at the number of innocent people in history who have been found guilty and hung drawn and quartered when in fact they were innocent. i think we need to step back and take a moment for calm before he jump to any conlusions.
The present board have a huge problem now because things like this normaly stay in confidence and only surface when someone may have held a grudge or want to take a swing at the incumbents so as to try and destabilise the regime to gain control themselves.
If there is any slander involved then I'm sure that there will be legal ramifications and the main problem with that is that we cannot be told. it has to stay in confidence or the legal status of the argument are not admissible in court. Im sure Ferrari Lover can confirm what the legal status is regarding statements made where legal action may follow and what can and cannot be said. if anyone has been slandered on either side we are going got have to be patient and wait until some sort of court action has been concluded to see who did or said what instead of making things up. gee i wish Mike B was back here. we never had this sort of trouble then and we were in the league, maybe not high up but we were in the league. I wonder if anyone would back that statement

Can we now get back to football please. We are eight points behind Welling and we need to win 3 more times than they do to have any chance. Forget all the 'board' games lets just try to work on that. There are 22 games left and 66 points to play for. Welling seem to have the lowest home gate in the league and we have the potential to pull in crowds of over 2000 if we can start to convince people we are hitting some form. I don't believe we have on paper a team that should be 23rd in the league. It's time to think through how we ARE going to turn things our way.

Sorry Gloucester Gull. you cannot allude to anyone drawing erroneous conclusions from that search. I was also a company director and was linked with more than one company.
Unless concrete proof is provided that the companies you have alluded to were in some way dodgy I would guard your comments as someone connected with those companies or the man himself could take legal action against you. its in your interest to be careful what you say and Im sure SG and Louis would back me up on that.
a company director is listed on the New company Torquay United Ltd. he has been listed as a director of 271 companies. would you call this number dodgy. No it'y not, this guy is clearly a specialist at incorporating companies for the benefit of others who then step in when ready to run the company and then he leaves. some companies get taken over the as a result change their name, simply disovling a company does not mean its gone bust. it could be shut down with nothing owing. liquidating a company means only that. its assets have been sold off and debt paid. there is nothing to suggest its gone bust.

For Gods sake ! People now seem to be talking to themselves about company law. This is a football site. Can we just look at the league table and think through how we can make all the drivel immaterial. 3 more wins than Welling.

You're right this is a football site, but without a Club we will not have any football to talk about. Decreasing attendance figures and recent information surfacing is all very worrying. We do not know exactly what state the Club is in. 3 wins more than Welling could be meaningless if the Club folds

The fans on the link are right - we need to continue supporting our Club by turning up to games. Without the fans, we don't have a Club. We know that finances are tight at the Club. Expressing our discontent by not turning up to Plainmoor will have far greater consequences than a change of management or style of play. We need to get behind the team. Its not great right now, but remember the good days, the highs, the jubilation at watching attractive football and goals galore. I know if seems miles off at the moment, but I want to see that back at Plainmoor and the only way I can affect it is by contributing my ticket fee. We all need to do this though, our Club needs us all

That is all very well, but with the series of accusations, counter-accusations, leaking out of the club and from previous board members, who do you actually trust to make good use of the hard-earned money supporters pay over? Is it the current lot? The Torquay Fans Ltd group? None of them?

When supporters are being kept completely in the dark by fellow supporters running the club, it does seem a little rich for those running the club to be imploring fans to turn up, whilst not quite being open and honest with what is taking place.

Presumably, if the WITHOUT PREJUDICE statement is incorrect, there are some grounds for legal action, if untruths are being peddled.

Hector is right. We have had four seasons of mis-management both on and off the field and there is only so much fans can take. I have supported Torquay United AFC for six decades and never expected to ever see the club next to bottom in the National/Conference league. This is the lowest the club has ever been. I attend virtually all home games, am a member of TUST and support the Player Fund but I shall walk away if we are relegated or forced to go into administration which I fear is a distinct possibility.

Don't know what relevance this has as it's all such a muddle....might be pointless post of the week. I for one thought mike b run torquay to a T. didn't run it into ground but managed it keep things afloat. I always remember him saying with hard work a owner could run the club and even draw a mid 30000 pounds salary. It stuck in my head that without greed or mismanagement the club was sustainable with giving a modest return. since roberts it's been one mess after another...yes we had a good time with buckle thanks to cash injections but the decline has been a slow burning process and now we looking at possibly the end of it. can't see a way out of this mire

It is illegal to try and destabalise a business and then try to buy it. Which is what they are trying to do by the looks of it.

I've never known the details of a football club to be so widely known and speculated upon. It's only yesterday it seems that we were being given information from the likes of mushroom et al on here who most believe were trying to get the club on the cheap. Now we seem to be going down that road again with another lot who claim to be die hard Torquay fans.

My advice to them would be simply, put up or shut up. You had your chance to make a difference when you were there and chose to walk. Now you want another chance and are asking people to give you a business that they have helped streamline for nothing. Guess what, it's not gonna happen. If you want the club then conduct yourself in an appropriate manner and make an offer. If you're not prepared to do that then F*ck off (again) and let those that are there try to get the current mess sorted. It seems to me that you were happy to let the likes of Steve Breed and Dave Phillips do the dirty work and now you want to waltz back in when a lot of monies have been saved and the business side doesn't have anywhere near as many outgoings as it did at the time of the initial takeover.

I find it strange that anybody could think they could make money out of owning Torquay United.
But maybe some have....

I am interested in Mrs Roberts' post and would like to welcome her to the forum.

I will tomorrow do some research into the financial situation of the club and report back.

The situation isn't funny anymore.
Well had a look.....
And we are in the sh1t big time.
The finances are even worse than I imagined.

And I will not say any more than that on the forum.
