Cant really add much to Matts report. The front line and midfield played firing on all cylinders today. Tomlin looks a quality player on todays showing. Pace, trickery and holds the ball well. Wont win much in the air but looks really comfortable. Excellent finish for the first. Zebs was his usual twisty, turny, unplayable self. Made and took his goal expertly. Robinson, must have felt he had a point to make. Lovely shot after tucking away the penalty and terrorised their defence all game. Murray also looked good but was put in the shade by the other performances. Yes they were down to 10 men after a shocking looking tackle but we looked well in charge by then anyway. Midfield were awesome and controlled the game really. Stanley was superb but Pringle put plenty of spade work in to make him look so good, a very unsung hero performance. When the midfield was so good it means the defence have so much less pressure on them. The defence was solid though and I think Bevs only had one save to make and one dangerous looking cross to catch. It was a consumate team performance that makes being there so worthwhile...

Matt.
Fanbloodytastic! Couldn't believe it.
Forking, forking brilliant today,as said above i can not add any thing to what Matt has already said, other than Tomlin and Murray seem to add something today that our front line has been missing for a while what a difference, closed them down all over the park,at times some fantastic football, totaly dominated this match from the off.

Fans on the Shrewsbury forum are very unhappy that Jake was eligible to play but also that Torquay were the better team so fair play.

It was Chris, just amazing you could tell from the off the team were firing on all fours, the shrews keeper made a couple of good saves first ,they really should have been 3 down atleast going in at the break.SuperNickyWroe wrote: sounds like an excellent performance, especially after tuesday.

It was just so nice to see our front line get in the faces of there defenders and squeeze them back, rather than us painfully having to watch the other teams back four run half the pitch unchallenged, the team have set the bar today, they have to stick at that level now.

As the saying goes 'It does'nt get any better than that'! Fantastic display today from the team and Buckle. They all played well but I thought Branno and Stanley were fantastic. They both deserve contracts for next season. We need to sign them asap!!!
Great to be a Torquay fan tonight. Even the unmentionables from up the road winning today cannot diminish how good I feel!!

Only a few say we were better, most are having a good ol' moan, as we would be if the result had gone the other way.
Oh, and one mentioned your beloved. Not much cop it seems

What a difference a few days and a couple of new strikers makes. Anyone else fancy playing Shrewsbury again at Old Trafford?
Ooh yes please
