Andy Donnelly
When i started going to plainmoor as a 5 year old Andy was thee keeper. I always put it down to him that i became a goalkeeper during my childhood and youth.
I think hes still alive does anyone know what he did after retiring from football.

As far as I know he's still living in South Africa (where did indeed retire from professional football at Cape Town City) at the age of 74
legend, Andy was Goalie when I started going to matches, ANDY ! ANDY ! Was the chant from the cow shed.
Thanks for reply Merse. Indeed in my mind he was a legend. Replaced by another in Mick Mahoney

As I remember it, it was "Handy Andy" ~ a very decent goalie if a little short and Scottish which always left you to fear the worst but to be fair he dropped very few clangers.Zippy wrote: 27 Jun 2017, 06:39legend, Andy was Goalie when I started going to matches, ANDY ! Andy now lives in Hastings having returned from Cape Town many years ago.
We had a meal last week with one of his daughters.
