Posting Pictures.
Posting Pictures.
Okay, I've seen once or twice recently that posters have wanted to post a picture but haven't been able, so I thought I'd just do this to help out.
1) Get the picture you want to post, and save it on your computer (obviously where you know where it is :~D )
2) Load up a picture hosting site (I use Tinypic, but there are others around)..
3) On the hosting site it'll say 'Browse..' Click it, then locate the photo you want. Then once you've selected that click Upload.
4) Wait, then once it is done, it'll give you a list of 4 different codes. You want the 'IMG Code for Messageboards and Forums'.
5) Copy that into the new post on here.
Voila. Heres an example that I've just done to show how easy it is.
Now, no more moping because you wanted to post something with a picture but couldn't (Matt! )

Thanks Dave, I love it when you leap to my defense.
Thanks also to Nick, for the advice. I don't know anything about image hosting, I'll look into it.
If I grasp the concept, you'll know, because my super cool reply will be on the Port Vale banter thread.
Matt.

Just to add to this... if you click reply instead of use quick reply (or if you create a topic) you will see an attachements uploader at the bottom of the text area, meaning you can upload images and other file types straight to this website for your convenience.

If it's a picture already on the internet, you can easily right click, Copy Image Location (this is the firefox option, not sure what the IE version is) and then use the IMG tags as above.

Yes, the fastest, slickest, prettiest, most adaptable, most user-friendly web browser going is a 'failure' because you can't make it do something no one else has heard of. Poor Camb, you appear to have temporarily become stupid. :~D

Ok, now someone else has mentioned it, I can no longer assume this StumbleUpon is a figment of the imagination of Camb, so, I ask you, what is this StumbleUpon of which you hushedly speak?

It's an add-on originally designed for firefox which allows you to choose various categories of website and stumble through random webpages other people have rated. I use it to find good games, football related articles and comedy things. If you so wish you can also use it to find you porn!ferrarilover wrote:Ok, now someone else has mentioned it, I can no longer assume this StumbleUpon is a figment of the imagination of Camb, so, I ask you, what is this StumbleUpon of which you hushedly speak?

Scott - do you use it through the website or can you still download the add-on?

Didn't realise they had add-ons on there, I will have a look into this now. Especially since the new Firefox 4 is basically a rip off of Chrome anyway.
