back on topic tho - how the hell does a coach driver MISS the M5/M4 junction ?!?!?? apparently, it's the only man made object you can see from the moon
Are you sure? I thought that it was Spagetti junction (Birmingham, M5/M6) that you could see from space, & also the "Great Wall of China".

You can barely see continents from space, it's a complete myth that you can see the great wall of China or anything man made at all.

In fairness, "space" is only 62 miles up. Given that the horizon, at sea level, it 15 miles away and we have no trouble at all seeing ships at that range, I find it inconceivable that we would find continents difficult to distinguish at 4 times the distance.

Sorry, probably too literal an answer, but I do take your point Gulli, I don't buy this being able to see stuff from the moon garbage. I'm not even convinced man has ever been to the moon.

Matt.

I left at 12pm friday (half hour, hour before the team bus, depending who you believe) as i was staying in Northampton for the weekend and went straight up the m5 to birmingham/coventry then headed right across to Northampton from there, and only took me 3 hours 45 mins, just shows how unlucky the team bus was, i must have missed the closure by half hour at most!

just for the record, i wasn't seriously suggesting the M4/M5 junction could in fact be seen from space, but purely trying to highlight that when you get to it, it really does take some missing. clearly i failed. i will retire to a quite corner and have a serious talk to myself. sorry to have bothered you all. =D

as for the "journey" to northampton, i thought that the driver "missed" the turn for the M4 at bristol and thats why

they ended up on a guided tour of central england.
idiot. :@
SNW. I can assure you that, that is NOT true. They did get stuck, in traffic, when the M5 was closed off, in both directions. We left home. in Brixham, at 1.45 and took the M5/M4 route, leaving the M5 at junction 14 (or is it 15) Anyway, we avoided the hold up, which was at junction 13, and arrived at Sixfields at 5.50.

Not seen you for a while. When's your next match? :)
