I've been wondering for a long time who Alf is who plays for Rotherham. I'm thinking they've got no players called Alf.
Then it dawns on me . . . . . . Adam Le . . . . . .
Likewise, I've been wondering who Lol is.
Back in the day, anyone called Lawrance/Lawrence or Louis/Lewis was called Lol for short. I don't recall though ever saying "Lol Of Arabia" even though I've seen the motion picture many times.
Then I twigged "LOL" ( looked on line). . . . . . . but it didn't seem to fit in context with Lol used in posts.
You've guessed it, it dawned on me . . . . . . loony on line . . .
That's when I laughed out loud.

I didn't notice this mentioned on here, but Bury today lost manager Alan Knill, Assistant Chris Brass and Coach Neil Cutler all to Scunthorpe.
So thats there entire backroom staff gone. Bit of a strange move as there is the potential at Bury to certainly be in the same division as Scunthorpe, and indeed do a Scunthorpe and make it back into the Championship.
However that is bound to derail them a little. Just like I'm hoping it will Port Vale and Rotherham too. Both of those clubs have had 1 win and 1 defeat since they sacked their managers - ironically both winning against Lincoln (its worth nothing that Lincoln are in the midst of a savage injury crisis, which could bode well for saturday). With Bury only 3 points ahead (albeit with a game in hand), they are not out of reach yet.
Its funny that in the 92nd minute last Friday I was convinced that we were going up, possibly even automatically, yet within 4 mins it all fell apart and since then I've been very pessimistic. Especially after the results in the last 7 days.
What is important is that things are pretty much in our own hands. All we have to do between now and May 7th is match every result Rotherham get, and match every result Port Vale get along with beating them at Plainmoor, and we'll finish ahead of them. the only spanner in the works in that is Accrington, who are in red hot form and are currently on target to pip us to the playoffs. But if Bury don't regroup quickly after the blow of losing Knill, the 4 in the playoffs could well be Gillingham/Shrewsbury (the other going up automatically), Stevenage, Accrington and ourselves. I am hoping Stevenage lose form soon, as they looked such a poor side I cannot believe they are in the running for automatic!

With home games against Lincoln/Port Vale/Wycombe/Chesterfield it certainly is.
One game at a time . . . . . . Lincoln first.

Accrington won at home again, no surprise given the gravel carpark they have the cheek to call a pitch. Puts them a point above us, but their games in hand are gone. In a quirk of the fixtures, they'll actually have played one more than us by the time we kick off at Bradford.
Hereford did us a favour of sorts by holding Wycombe to a goalless draw, leaving us just 6 points behind them I'm second place, it's unlikely that we'll catch them, but it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
At the wrong end, Burton and Cobblers shared a point apiece, doing neither of them any real good. Burton still have a deuce of games in hand, so can (theoretically, at least) drag their sorry asses clear of the dreaded trapdoor. NTFC on the other hand, are slipping perilously close to going down.
We're a place further down than we were 5 hours ago, but at least now we know where we stand.
Fate: A police dog called Bryn bit Torquay player Jim McNichol and the time while he was receiving treatment was added onto the end of the second half.
Too tight to call, at both ends. Our Cobblers friends may well be having a few nightmares of Tuesday night's at Bath and Tamworth.
I would have backed Wycombe to beat Hereford, and you just think Stevenage, Accrington and maybe (but hopefully not) us could come unstuck as we are punching above our weight a little. But who knows, it's all to play for. I'm sure the squad are preparing well, full of confidence and we shouldn't be worried or overawed going to the likes of Bradford. On paper you always think Bradford away is difficult. Big proper stadium, big gates for League 2, but they are a poor side and that's what matters the most.
We really just have to worry about ourselves, win our games and enough of the chasing pack will lose somewhere along the line and we'll be in the top 7 somewhere. If we don't win our games then we won't be, it's as simple as that. From our last 6 games we need 4 wins for Playoffs. For automatic we'll need 5 wins. Anything less and we'll be trusting to the Gods and in all likelihood we'll miss out.

For guaranteed automatic promotion (minus the one point, subject to appeal) we will need 6 wins
