Competition Time!

Post by United62 »

Well, as this season is over (as good as), time to look forward to the delights of life in National League South next time out.

Bored at work.... so, below are 22 of our venues (or possible venues)* for next season. Can you name them all? (well, you could name them all by just looking at the 'properties' of each image.... but that's cheating and it's against the rules)

*One of them shows their supporters at an away venue.... for a bonus point, name both the away team and the away venue (which isn't actually an NLS venue).

One things for sure, we'll certainly be seeing more greenery next season... which will be nice for the dendrophiliacs amongst us!

Excellent thread and I'm guessing P78 is on the ball with his answers, I would have had 21 personally as Bognor as a day out at the sea, but they are likely to be relegated so won't matter . Blimey looking at these grounds , playing us away will be like a trip to Wembley

Well spotted P78 re No.15! Numeracy is not my strong point!

Lucy... P78 is correct with his answers.... I hope we're not playing Bognor next season!

Trouble is the only ground in the list above that is actually quite 'decent' is Dartford's Princes Park but if things stay as they are they will be passing us on the way up....as we plummet into regional football obscurity

My God!
I'm only five miles from #18 and I never thought I'd be watching the Gulls there (unless it was a Pre Season friendly)!
Perhaps Klukowski will return to his hometown club where my boys currently go to his old school! Lee Philips was playing for them a couple of seasons ago too.

It'll be like Macclesfield again and we'll be away to Chippy first game of the season... and lose.

gotta admit I guessed no.21. It wash the mobile homes in the background that just screamed Canvey Island.

Yes, all the grounds look pretty depressing - if we can't win at places like that then there really is no hope. I should think the Yellow Army would outnumber home supporters at a fair few of those 'stadia'.

Yes but unfortunately the 11 who matter for Torquay don't care as much as the supporters and will have exactly the same number 11 facing them! :-/
