Alternate skin...

Post by Fonda »

Had a flash of inspiration, and wondered how difficult it would be for the powers that be on the board to bring it to fruition…

How much work would be involved in creating a supplementary skin for the board? I was thinking of something in a white/grey/black colour scheme – and it would be referred to (in my mind) as the work skin.

I (like many others I m sure) like to have a bit of a browse through the day – but there s not much more obvious than a bright yellow website to give away the fact that what I m looking at isn t strictly work-related.

My suggestion isn t to replace the yellow scheme obviously – merely to provide an alternative that users can change to when necessary (i.e when sat in an office with other people).

Just a thought. To be stuck in the virtual ideas box .

I like this idea Shane, luckily I sit in the corner in my office but I can understand your point. Had a very stressful time lately... let me get some time back to do this mate. Thanks.

I've been working hard ;-)

New skin made mate... change it from the user control panel if you don't like the yellow one or need to use the site at work ;-)

I will update it so it is as good as the main one over the coming days but it works...

That is bloody brilliant. Although as I'm only a week or two away from leaving this job I'm not sure it really matters now!!! :~D

Cheers Louis, and apologies for appearing so impatient with my initial reponse!
