Player of the season!
It's such a good feeling to see our fans struggling to pick their POTY, for the fact that there are too many choices!
I remember some times it was because we only had one worthy player in our squad!! :~D

Yes it is a tough one Dave and Craig Stanley is certainly a class act. Our Irish duo are also both coming on well and have provided some memorable moments and will be ones for this award in the future whether at our club or elsewhere. Looking at my nominations again although I wasn't conciously thinking of it at the time it is clear that I have gone for those who have been with us throughout from when we were staring relegation back to the Conference in the face only 12 months ago to being serious promotion challengers now.Southampton Gull wrote:I pretty much agree with all of that, stefano.
The only thing I would add is the influence of Craig Stanley, surely a runaway winner if he'd been here longer?
As NickGull said it's a pleasant and somewhat unusual position to be in to have so many genuine candidates.
However .... Guy for Prime Minister!

As the POTS for most years since 2004 has gone on to leave the club the following season it goes without saying that my vote this year is...........A J wrote:2010 - Elliot Benyon

Andy Marriott was robbed in 2006, and you won't find a bigger Hilly fan than me.
From the MOTM threads perspective, there's 3 players who have pulled away from the rest of the pack.
1) Guy Branston (145)
2) Chris Zebroski (128)
3) Lee Mansell (110)
No-one else is going to break 100, even with the last 4 games, so they are well ahead of the rest of the squad. With 7 points avaliable for winning a MOTM award (28 left to play for), Branston is almost certainly going to win, although Zebroski still has a mathmatical chance. Manse is unfortunately out of the race.

Craig Stanley nuff said he is a fantastic player at this level for us in a role he relishes and has been instumental in the way we NOW play so for me it's craig stanley but only just.
