Just seen Gary's verdict on OS. Apparently serving 2 match touchline ban. Anyone know what for? Also, seems quite happy with current squad, saying doesn't want to bring players in "who might upset the apple cart".

Don't agree with some fans and Slough manager saying the sending off changed the game. It's not as if they were going to get a point . We would have ground them down second half anyway 10 men or 11. I thought they fought very hard though and had a fair bit of the ball but never looked liked scoring whereas we did constantly
Bath will be a good test as they are going well
I see according to the BBC that the Chippenham away game at Easter has been moved to Good Friday with a 7.45 pm kick off, why they can't make it 3pm I don't know, probably reduce our following a bit

54 points!
By my reckoning that makes us safe from relegation!

Which on a Tuesday night a while back at Oxford City seemed a distinct possibility 😊

This game would have been a fantastic watch for the neutrals. I thought Slough came with a plan to sit deep and frustrate us, however 10v11 they go a goal down and start to get players further up the pitch and for 10 minutes caused us a fair few problems, can't help wondering, and being thankful for them not starting the game with that mentality. As for their no 9 Ben Harris I believe, he played with the mentality of a park footballer, and he may have got away with it in park football, hopefully he's learned a lesson.

No can say what the outcome would have been if it stayed 11v11 because it didn't and we'll never know, our team barely created a single chance through out the first half, which down a distinct lack of quality in the final ball, or a piece of poor decision making, the only other criticism I can level and this happened through out the game, how many times did we get caught offside, it was almost schoolboy at times, the lack of quality final ball and the constantly being caught offside to be fair has been so unlike us in recent times, and it begs the question how many goals would the team have scored if the usual consistency had been present in this match.

On the upside, some of our passing and movement was breath taking, and we saw some individual pieces of skill from Reid, Kalala and Davis. as for the sponsors man of the match, if you were amongst that party and are reading this, all I can say is, what a cop out giving it the manager and the entire team, yes everyone played well, but there were some who really stood out a deserved the recognition. particularly Wynter, who for me had by far his best game for TUFC yesterday in all aspects of his play not just the goal.

Bants man, it's only bants ffs.
Hey thanks Teign old boy, that's quite encouraging, as I thought that the pedantic old twots was an exclusive little cartel restricted to members like you and the virus previously known as Ellacombe Buhy (the one with an IQ of 67) as well as doyens such as Merse and Brucie. Can anyone join or is membership by invitation only? Does one require any particular qualifications? (I realise that a willingness to take a jaundiced view must be a basic requirement but is it essential, or merely advantageous, to possess an ability to pontificate on matters one knows nothing about?) Keep up the Bants, chin chin.

The two match ban is for something at Billericay Town away, back on 3rd November. I don't have further details.

As for Harris and his sending off, well played the Pop Side. I don't believe it was a rude gesture, if you remember back in the first half he slipped on his arse on the half way line and the Pop Side gave him some stick - he return gesture was that 'Actor / Royal Wave' (or whatever the official name for it is). This could easily be see as two fingers or the W***ker sign. So when he did it a second time after the booking, I believe the referee interrupted as that. Funny, and explains why they protested - I guess not the first time he's done it.

Watch the 'tackle' on the video (which is up on the NL site), he could have had a straight red for that let alone the gestures.

If it was a 'Royal Wave' Harris could only have learnt it at Ascot for whom he played before signing for Slough!
PS
GJ's ban was because of comments about the ref in the home game against Billericay in November; we haven't played them away yet.

Goals from all over the pitch, the best TQ side for many a year. Woking, Bath & Chelmsford are the main rivals at this time. The team spirit is wonderful to see, and I think that Bath will be amazed at the away support on the day. I hope that the Yellow Army are well behaved, no flares or dustbins please, LOL. COYY

Just watched the highlights on TUFC. 4 good goals and could/should have been more. One thing I did notice when Ben Harris got sent off( and what a t**t he was. It doesn’t matter what gesture he was making he was inciting the crowd and that in itself is enough for a Red card), was Jake Andrews going up to Shaun McDonald and telling him not to get involved which to me shows a mature head on young shoulders, well done Jake.

Oops, I've just posted a similar message on the other site without the benefit of seeing your comment on Andrews. Yes, well done to him and he was only a whisker away from a very early goal from a lovely move down the left.
