Burton Advice Please

Post by Regiment »

Hey Guys & Gals

Tomorrow will be my first trip to Burton, and up until about five minutes ago, i was intending to stand in the terraces as normal, but now my 8yr old son wants to come too. Usually when i take him to games, we sit, as he's a bit short in the leg for standing (in terms of a good view of the game).

so, my questions for those of you that have been there before :-

1. Is the seating area close to the standing area - we like to get involved in the atmosphere and singing etc, and some grounds seem to have too much of a divide between sitting and standing (like plainmoor for the away fans).

2. if we were to stand, is the terracing of a standard that a little'un would still be able to get a reasonable view ??

3. is there a pre match "meeting/drinking point" up there for us ??

cheers everyone, see you tomorrow.

Brady.

I seem to remember that the terrace is raised slightly, so even the front row provides a decent view. Perhaps you could stand right at the front?
There is a pub in a residential area a little way from the ground, that's where we will be, not sure about others though.

Indeed, the terrace is raised slightly. It's a really tidy little ground, the concourse under the stand is decent, and views are good.

Can't wait. Apologies for the lack of matchday thread so far, going to have to do it now..

i've managed to talk the boy into standing, but he wants to be in with the singing etc anyway, so we're gonna go for the terracing. we'll get in early and find a good spot !!

is Paul going (and bringing the drum) ??

That's because you're in denial.

I'm bringing Barlow and he is bringing his drum, this is beyond my control so Paul will have to do whatever Paul sees fit once we arrive.
