Final Table - The DREADED BBC Predictor............

Post by AdelaideGull »

All,

I've spent the last few days over Easter reading all the reports from the last three DRAWN games......so, I've played the dreaded "predictor" on BBC. Cause I'm a non techy person, I'm not sure how to upload the table, so instead I'll write the results instead.

I see us DRAWING both of the last two games and STILL limping into the playoffs in last spot.

I have us drawing 1 -1 with Chesterfield on friday night. On the same weekend I have:

ACCY drawing 2 -2 v BARNET, they (Barnet) must be worth a point cause they are in a desparate "Sh##" scramble for points
Bury 3 -1 v Wycombe
Cheltenham 1 - 2 v Shrewsbury and
AC Northampton doing us a huge favour
AC North 2 - 1 v Stevenage (sort of "local" derby - 45 miles up the MI etc + the fact that AC are at the crap end of the table)

Roll on to the last weekend and again I have us 2 -2 at Rotherham, same day and at 4.45pm , the following results

Barnet 2 -1 Port Vale - irrelavent anyway PV are out of it now.......
Burton 2 -2 Accy
Chesterfield 3 -1 Gillingham
Shrewsbury 3 -1 Oxford
Stevenage 1 -2 Bury - BURY Champs on goal diff from Chesterfield
Wycombe 3 - 1 Southend - but not enough to claim third spot from Shrewsbury - SIMPLE

Plays offs
Mighty Yellows v Wycombe
Gillingham v Accy

See it's so easy when you sit 12,000 miles away.................... toilet paper anyone???????????

I'm that confident of us being in the final that I'm planning a business trip for the end of May..........(actually I'm over anyway)

I have got Accy, Stevenage and Gills all winning this weekend, which will mean we need a point against Chesterfield other wise we will be 4 points off the play offs.

Also you need to include Rotherham in all this...... if Gills and Stevenage lose on Saturday and Rotherham beat Grimsh!te they can still take the 7th spot if they beat us. Chances are (last game of the season) Chesterfield could beat Gills and Stevenage lose to Bury, which really makes our game at Rotherham critical for both clubs.

I hate to say it but I personally think we need 4 points from 2 very tough games to even have a glimpse at the play offs. Ideally 2 wins from 2 and that way we don't have to worry about other results because either way Accy, Steveange and Gills will all drop points over the next 2 games.

Friday's game will be Torquay United v Chesterfield (inc. Accy, Steveage & Gills).

I've got us coming 6th, playing Wycombe in the playoffs as well. Ah well, we just need to make sure we get no less than 4 points from these next two games.

I've got us finishing sixth, with four points from our last two games, facing Stanley in the play-offs :-/ , Stevenage to miss out by a point.
Na, na na, NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, TORQUAY!
