Currently 9/2 with Stan James to get promoted.

Others of note include: Chesterfield 1/1000 (bet365); Wycombe 4/11 (bet365 and William Hill); Bury 4/5 (Betfair); Shrewbury Evens (Corbett Sport); Stevenage 11/4; Gillingham 7/2; Accrington 13/2; Port Vale 13/2 (all bet365); Rotherham 15/2 (BetFred); Oxford 33/1 and Crewe 40/1 (both bet365).

How on EARTH are Gills longer than Stevenage. The Gills have been good all season, and in Cody McDonald, they have possibly the best striker in the division. Stevenage are where they are because of 6 straight wins, they'll not keep that up. If I'm picking the best value there, it looks to be Gillingham or, dare I say it, us.

Matt.

The 25th April is the day when we will have a much better idea about who is going up.

Burton Albion v Torquay
Chesterfield v Bury
Rotherham v Gillingham
Shrewsbury v Accrington Stanley
Stevenage v Port Vale
Wycombe v Crewe

8 of the top 10 teams playing each other on one afternoon!!!

Home v Port Vale . . . . (currently 6th)
Home v Wycombe . . . .(currently 3rd)

Home v Chesterfield . . (currently 1st)
Away v Rotherham . . . (currently 5th)

I'm only joking, of course we'll make the playoffs with 3 out of 5 games at home. ;-)

The only blip in our run of clean sheet wins will be the 0 - 0 draw at Burton.
Before we get to the last 5 fixtures, we have the immediate matter of the next one game at a time : Bratfut City (away).

By my reckoning, 78 points will see us go up automatically with goal difference possibly proving crucial. By my arithmetic, we must win five out of the six and not lose any.

Again by my reckoning, 72 points will see us in a play-off position, meaning we must win at least three out of the six and not lose more than two.

To meet the above criteria, maximum points must be taken off Pork Vale, Wick'm and Rotrum.

First things first though : Bratfut City (away)

The above post does not factor in the unjust point deduction.

No point in appealing, just quietly accept it and carry on our unbeaten run. Play-offs would be good = a bit more money for the club even if we bow out

Here we are then, as stated in the original post (the future happens soon enough, doesn't it ?), the final, crucial, last five fixtures.

One game at a time, remember ?

Port Vale next.

Quickly followed by Wycombe and Burton. :(

Now it gets really difficult. :( :(

I should not have started a thread titled "Why We Won't Make The Playoffs". :( :( :(

Think we are golden now.
One last go on the predictor and I believe a draw will be plenty :keepie:
With Chesterfield needing to win to be sure (looked dangerous on Gull Player highlights) against a sinking Gillingham, we may even be able to lose and avoid Accy in the first rnd of playoffs... :@
That said , where will the Rovrum heads be - nought to play for, we could see a 5-0 beasting by the gulls (time Jake laced up the shooting boots again)
Brilliant drama down to the last day. :scarf:
One glimpse at the other end and based on GD - it has to be Lincoln who have snuck into the rele spot unnoticed...

Looking forward to the play offs :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

COYY
At the kerb halt - look right - look left -look right again - if all clear quick march!

So far, haven't won any of them . . . . or lost any of them . . . . so far.

If we do/don't make the playoffs then the results from the above games will explain why we did/didn't make the playoffs.
