Remember him? The legend in his own living room? Just been shown the door by City. Unbelievable that a player with such ability should have been treated this way. I can only imagine it's his decision and he's been tapped up by Barca...

Yes, so do I !!! Perhaps they're not going to sort new contracts until after the play offs though - can't remember what's happened in previous years when our season has been extended.PlainmoorRoar wrote:Wish the .com would do a list like exeters site have done though!

Bucks has already said nothing will be sorted until the season has finished. So our season is not over yet with 2 games left, maybe a 3rd.
Jake Thomson is a good player yes, but his attitude is just shocking. Wouldn t mind him back here if he would sort himself out and want to actually play for the club instead of being in a strop.

I don't think there's much doubt on his ability, he's a skilful player with a decent cross and could really be useful for us. The problem is that he's just like those petulant wasters that we see everyday. Turn up to work because their parents made them, look miserable all day including to customers and go home and moan about how they hate their boss because they tried to get them to do their job properly.
Thomson will be like this until he reaches about 26-27, by which time he'll have ruined his career and be a fantastic player for some part-time non league team. (Or the dole queue.)

Cheers for that, tufcbrett. It makes good sense to focus on football rather than contracts until the season is over, but hadn't seen it confirmed anywhere. Agree about Thomson, very disappointing attitude.
Yep, I imagine no retained list will come out until our season has ended. We only have 4 players out of contract anyway, Bevs, Potter, Branno and Stevens.
Also notice that Reuben Reid was today released from Oldham - another player of questionable temprament but unquestionable quality. It might not be beyond the realms of possibility that he'd end up with us. Knows the area from his Argyle days, possibly even a friend of Zebs from the Argyle youth days?
Wouldn't be dissapointed with Reuben Reid, thought he was excellent when he was here before.

That'll expire, he was only there as backup. I reckon Potter will go and maybe Bevan, although i'd keep the big man. Jones obviously won promotion from this league fairly local would probably fit into our wage structure, can just see it happening. I've got nothing to back it up other than a hunch.
Reading Exeweb they reckon Taylor might leave, and there is a rumour on there we might take Logan even though he's under contract i'd take both of them as well. All the others i'd imagine would stay there likes of Noble, Cureton etc.

He is, but i think he'll be released this season. He's only backup this season and isn't really close to getting in ahead of Lewis (despite his ridiculous mistakes he makes sometimesNickGull wrote:Doubtful. On loan at Peterborough isn't he? ^

I'd love to see Reid back here, he was good first time round if i remember correctly, and he has a lot of raw ability.

Can you link me to these rumours about Logan? We need a targetman kind of striker and that could be an interesting one..
Cheers.
