Dave Rudge RIP

Post by North Curry House »

It is with deep regret that I have just heard of the passing of Dave Rudge.

Very sad news, he was due to be attending the Retro Gulls 2pm tomorrow at Boots & Laces.

Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

What a shock. Loved watching him play for us in the 70s. Would often see him at Plainmoor on Matchday.

I was hoping to attend my first Retro Gulls today.

Just hope the club hold a fitting tribute to Dave next Monday.

What a lovely man Dave Rudge was . I knew Dave well due to my involvement with Newton Dynamos later Newton Abbot FC during the late 1970s through to the 1990s. I believe he was still at the club when it folded several year's ago. R.I.P my friend.
